The color was wonderful, but the price for reorder was too high. I was sent an offer for reorder at $10. When I loaded it in the cart, it charged full price. So I never submitted the order. Next thing I know, I receive an email stating my order was received. AND my credit card has been charged full amount. In spite of two emails to cancel an order I did not make, I've received no response. Today I receive an email that my order has shipped! Watch this company. It's saving your credit card info and sending unauthorized shipments!

At first I thought it didn't color my grey hair well enough. I went back to using the best OTC hair color I could purchase. What a mistake. My hair is so dry and brittle. I think my hair just grows so much faster and needs to be colored more often than I thought. I am ordering Custom Hair Color more often than before and won't go back to OTC product again.

I have been dying my hair for many many years and have been many colors.
mostly a light brown/dark blonde over my formerly dark brown (now with lots of grey)
I have tried a few things but have always gone back to L'Oreal, mostly because it leaves the hair the softest, color is good and low price
this color held better and looked great, but I did not like the feel as much.
I am going to adjust the color a tad and give it another go to see if it is worth 3x the price

Hair is in better condition than with a shop bought box colour, which was why I bought this brand. However it works out a bit expensive with postage. I would recommend it though.

Sorry I had to skip this shipment...I want you to know how much I love your products and my original plan was to use them 'every other time' I colored my hair. In the last few months it has been necessary for me to go to the hair dresser two times in a row (nothing to do with your product) and I still had an extra shipment that I was late in using so that is why I have had to skip shipments. I do intend to get back on track with my original plan for your product and once again...I love them...how you get the color so right from a photo is amazing and my hair is in great shape...thanks!!

The original color I received from eSalon was a bit too light for my liking. However, all it took was emailing a brief message to the colorist about my concerns and the next formula was perfect. I'm not sure how they do it but I think the product is a great. I am telling all my friends about it.

For years I have been going to a fine French hair stylist, who both cut and dyed my hair. When the recession hit, I tried the l'Oreal products in CVS, but my hair was redder than I like and was getting dry and fly-away. Then I discovered esalon. Before I went gray, my hair was curly and dark brown. For a long time, I tried a lighter color, but it just looked mousy. Esalon adjusted my original color with them, which was too dark for me these days, and now it is pretty near perfect. Not brassy, not black--a warm brown that provides sufficient contrast to be flattering without being harsh. I get the non-permanent color and refresh it every 3 weeks (my roots grow out). I would definitely recommend this service to friends as the cheapest and the best way to color your hair.

My first experience with esalon left me underwhelmed. I had chosen from their selection of colors and definitely didn't get the results I wanted. A few months later, I responded to an email. I gave specifics of what I didn't like about the color. I sent photos. And I agreed to give it one more try.
I got rich color that didn't fade to a brassy, unnatural color, and it was truly formulated just for me. My color isn't found on the order chart - because it's mine.

I love the hair color but I like highlights so after I color I highlight but I don't like doing it every 6 weeks. So I just use root touch up so my highlights last longer.

I liked the color that was made for me. The product didn't have a strong smell & the package of shampoo & conditioner smelled great. I just wish there was enough for at least 2 washes.

The color was good but not exactly what I expected. The process also took longer than I expected. The color lasted about six weeks in my hair and I only was my hair about every three days. The overall color stayed but my grays showed earlier than I was hoping for.

I was a little leary of the title of my hair color at first: 'golden blonde'. I am a red head, have been that for my entire life. However, my hair takes up color differently than normal. To get my grey colored, I've had to go to strawberry blonde shades, which are still too dark on the initial uptake. My 'Made for You' color turned out to be just right!

I had issues with previous color done for me because it didn't last more than cpl wks. This time I think you got it! My only problem (but it's me), is I have a Widow's Peak, & the hairline along my temples & @ the point of peak rarely get completely covered. I try to cover it all but a few strands always get away from me, I guess.

Unfortunately the colour did not hold for as long as I would of liked. Started to fade after 4days.
On the positive side the colour mix was perfect and very accurate to what is displayed on the website.

I had dyed my hair with each salon earlier in the year. I loved it, but it still wasn't exactly what I wanted. After adding a note to go a bit darker, they sent out my next order in time to dye my hair before my wedding. It came out perfect. I'll probably use it for the rest of my life!

At first I was kind of sceptical as it said I would only apply the colour to my roots and the lather it in through the rest of my hair att the end. But I did as is said and it's so awesome! I didn't thought it would be this good. The only down-side is that my hair still isn't as light as I want but it's defenitly lighter than before!

I've been chasing my original hair color since it started turning grey and getting darker and duller. In my 20s and before I always got all these compliments on my hair . . . I got used to it. And then they stopped and I kept wondering why until I realized how much my hair had changed. I tried henna, I tried fancy salon jobs . . . nothing worked. The salon would make it super dark red for weeks and then it would fade to close to the right color, but that's not what I wanted it to look like. One try with eSalon and . . . NAILED IT.

I think the hair coloring product is quite good, the color was exactly what I wanted. My only issue has been that my hair seems to be falling out after coloring. I hope that stops pretty soon!

It was a bit unclear how to mix it. I mixed the whole bottle then had a lot left after doing my roots. Next tome I will use less and not mix in the bottle, but equil parts in a bowl. I really like the color!

I have red hair (by choice) and the coloring doesn't last and tends to wash out with every shampoo. eSalon is completely different! It doesn't face or turn brassy. It last in the same color until you redo your color or cut your hair.

I have yet to show any gray...this is 3 wks after e salon color and drugstore color would have already shown some breakthrough gray. I wish e salon would develop color and Highlight kits. I found my own highlighting kit and am happy with the result but think e salon could add this step and help me do a better job overall with their expertise.

Very easy to use, great shine and depth of colour but grey hair showed through in a week and some fading at the roots within 2 weeks also. 6 weeks on the mid to ends are still glossy not brassy.

My color that was selected is the perfect shade and comes out looking like a salon color. I'm not particularly sure of the method after the color application which is rinsing and massaging with existing left over color though.

I had originally contacted customer service about returning my product even though it had already been shipped. I had hoped I ordered it to be sent in time. Tracking told me however it would not get here in time before I left for vacation. Customer service was not friendly but I'm happy to report my color came in. I will not have to return it and I couldn't be more excited. Thank You!

A stylist called before my first order shipped to discuss my order. Since colors on a screen are often not true, I had been unsure which to choose. The stylist talked me through it and made recommendations and changed my order. When the color came, it was exactly what I wanted! However, my grays were visible again less than two weeks after application. I decided to try it again, using a different application method, to make sure it wasn't just me not doing a professional-grade job. The second time (root touch-up) seemed to last a bit longer, but still not as long as I'd like.

Old post: Great quality, hair is in amazing condition afterwards as always. Just a shame about the colour. I hadn't expected carrot orange. Thank goodness it faded within a couple of washes but it wasn't the colour I asked for. I will be going back to my previous colour after this.

I am writing this 5-star review of eSalon to let others know what truly great hair color they have.
