My first applicatiion turned out great! I have medium fine hair and one order will cover two applications. I had to throw away most of the 1st step because it was too much.

I had said I wanted my color a little lighter, and the response was to color only the roots for the 35 min. Usually the color lasts & covers the grey for 6 weeks. Using the method suggested my grey is showing up after weeks. I will resume the method used previously. I live this product otherwise.

Quality product color is a good match. It doesn't cover my grey as good as getting it done professionally in the salon and it's more drying so I've added protein hair care products to my line up. As far as the grey coverage I'm not sure what to do still contemplating thus the 4 stars

I love the color kit I get. The only thing that is difficult is washing it out. Sometimes it feels very thick on my scalp. The results are great so worth the extra washing effort.

The color produced by eSalon is as good - if not better - than I have received from a couple local salons/stylists. The bad part is it doesn't come with a hair cut every couple of months!

The hair color was a little darker than I wanted but it lasted longer than they say it will, I had to extend my delivery date from 10 weeks to 12 weeks because there wasn't any grey after 10.

This color was a change from my usual array of blonde I've used over the last 30+ yrs. I decided to go for a new, brighter, but not lighter, strawberry blonde color (which my daughter has naturally). In the past, hair color with any level of copper or red in it, would, unfortunately, immediately begin to fade and be totally gone from my hair in a few weeks - way sooner than expected. However, I find eSalon is holding great! Although the color has faded to a degree (which I expected) , I am still very pleased with eSalon formula's holding power overall! I am a few weeks from touch up and I feel it will be perfect timing. I am very excited to reapply this new color again. So far, I am very pleased with eSalon' and have no plans to discontinue using it in the near future.

I really love my hair color with the free highlights. However I lived with my elderly father who had a 2nd stroke. I had to move and am looking for work. Please stop service till I have income and contact u.

Your product was excellent, loved the resulting color, all product were great. My only problem is that after I ordered your product kit, my credit card information was stolen. It was used in New York. I have cancelled it and unfortunately will not be able ever order from you again, Can not take the risk. Karen K.

I used my hair color a few days after it arrived. I noticed that after about 4 washes the color was significantly washed out. Disappointed that the color didn't stay consistently.

I cheated a bit in that my former hairdresser gave me her exact formula for the color I have used for years. I sent that in under my comments section when ordering the color, but they nailed it! Only complaint is that they only send enough color for your roots. If you want to color your ends, you have to order additional colorant, which was not made clear. HOWEVER, they sent along a complimentary ends colorant for the first order, so I was able to color all of my hair that first time. Will absolutely use again!

I love the color. The one thing that I do wish, is that there was an option to buy a partial bottle. I don't like coloring my whole head often. I'm afraid it will dry out my hair. I would just like to do my roots on a regular basis.

I love the way my hair comes out with using the special custom blend made for me. Lasts well. My only complaint is that I have short hair, so a lot of the mix is wasted. Wish there were smaller amounts for short hair.

The only comment I have is that the color doesn't stay in hair as long as I would like. I feel that after 2-3 weeks, my grays are back and I need to dye it again. However, the color does go on well and is easy to apply!!!

I finally found the color I had 30 years ago!! I litarly just finished blow drying! REMARKABLE!!! I'v gone from salon to salon for perfect gold tint I had as child, no more top dollar hair dyings for me!

You adjusted the tone of my color and you nailed it... I absolutely love the new color! The packaging of the product is, however, very excessive and unnecessary. We have enough garbage to dispose of. Please give me less to put in the trash!

After explaining to esalon that I was not interested in their product because I didn't like the colour after 2 tries, I gave them another chance.
I received the new dye and was disappointed because it looked very light and the description was light brown. I had said I wanted darker and more red.
Well, when I dyed my hair last night the colour turned out perfect.
I'm very pleased.
I don't know if I will get it again because it's too expensive. But they gave me an offer I couldn't refuse.

all of the last year I had been adding a little more red and a little more gold, at one point thought hair was getting a little too light in color. changed back to original color without missing a beat. color was adjusted just as I wanted and coverage for gray hair has always been great.

I have always self colored by box and I had been very happy with the results and the brand that I had formerly used. The only problem I had was that I could not be sure I could find the same color even when I knew the number; stores would be out of it when I was shopping or they stopped carrying it all together then I was on a great hunt for a new color and/or place to get it. With eSalon they send me MY color (it even has my name on it) on my chosen schedule. They notify me when they are preparing my color so if I want to change my color I can work with the colorist online to get the color I want every time!
It is as easy to do at home as any box color and looks like it was done in a salon. Grey coverage is excellent!!! They include 2 pair of nice quality gloves and a few other goodies in their kit that I thought was impressive like stain guard and stain remover.
This is an excellent, dependable value!!!!

The color in this bottle didn't match the color on my hair. I also didn't notice the little drop of color floating around in the bottle, like the other bottles I had received. Instead of coming out burgundy, it is more brown.

I've been using box hair dye off and on since high school, and that's all I knew. Fast forward 20 years later, I noticed the texture of my hair change as I sadly aged, and it increasing got drier and drier by the year. When I started to dye my hair again, my hair was no where near as resilient and started to more brittle. I wasn't willing to spend the $120 that my salon charges, so I decided to give eSalon a try to see if a "premium" at home dye was worth it.
It came in a nice box, easy instructions, and being the pro that I am with box dyes, it was very easy to apply. The 1st box, they sent me 2 bottles of dye, which was more than enough to saturate my hair (just past my bra line). The following boxes they only send you 1 dye to redo your roots, which works fine since you aren't doing an all over hair color.
Results: beautiful, saturated color that lasts, texture of your hair is softer, doesn't dry out as much as other dyes. Conditioner that comes with it creates this waxy residue on your hair for days (they said they are working on reformulation), so I usually finish it off my with color treated hair mask.
Conclusion: I also tried Madison Reed and hoped to really like that one as well, but the results didn't come nearly as close to eSalon. MR color didn't last as long, and did not leave my hair as soft as it did with eSalon. Yes, it is more than 2x the cost of CVS hair dyes, but as hair ages, it is worth the extra to keep it looking shiny and healthy.

The color is good, but I would like to have more highlights without having to go through a second coloring. I still had trouble with gray coverage at my temples. It may be that I didn't get the dye on that area heavy enough. I will let you know after the next coloring.

Very, very, pleased with the color. My only problems were due to my inexperience. It is a messy process when you are used to going to a salon, and I also didn't totally cover some of the gray on the crown towards the back though it sure seemed like I'd gotten all areas. It's very difficult to see, plus my hair is naturally curly and when I comb it out it's a giant fuzz ball and difficult to separate into thin strips.

Great color. Easy to reach colorist if needed. Would have given 5 stars, but I've been using the color consistently every 5 weeks for years and there is no loyalty program.

I believe it is hard to customize color without seeing someone personally. I felt that the color was too dark and it was probably based on a picture that I sent. It is hard to get the correct lighting in a picture to tell the true color of a person's hair. Other than the color issue, my grays were all covered and it left my hair feeling great. I will probably try this again, but hopefully a lighter color than I received.

Pros: The coverage of my coarse white and greys is impressive. And the colour lasts very well without using any particular specialist colour shampoo. Overall, much better than any shop bought boxed dyes. Good value for money.
Cons: I have dark hair so colour options were extremely limited. Very long hair means I had to be careful to ensure there was enough to cover it all. Hair felt v odd, like hard, during rinsing stage. But once complete hair felt normal again.

I have to say was highly impressed with my new hair colouring product. My only criticism is that my new hair growth at the roots came out a more golden colour than the remainder of my hair but hopefully that will be resolved on my second delivery having informed the team of this.

I gave very little description as to what color I was looking for, mostly because I wasn't sure how to describe what I wanted. With a photo of me and that short description, my eSalon stylist customized the perfect dk brown/copper combination.

This is a medium blonde which I am using to color gray hair. I am pleased with it as a natural-looking shade. My only disappointment is that the color doesn't hold at the temples. After 7-10 days I need to touch up the gray with a temporary rinse. (Roux Fancifull bashful blonde #56) Any suggestions?

I have chosen red as my hair color which is hard to keep maintained as far as the vibrant color. The color enhancing shampoo is helpful. This color stays longer and is beautiful. However, despite using colorsafe hair products (expensive and known for being color safe), I've noticed the bottom half of my hair turns lighter than the rest of my hair within 2 weeks.

This was my first purchase with Easton, the product was good and easy to apply. I have found, though that the color has not lasted along my temples and front hairline as long as I expected. But overall a good experience.

I have been told I am 50% gray. This color helps hide that, easily. The directions were easy to follow, the color was rich. I give it 4 stars because the color was not quite what I was looking for but that was my fault.

I've been using eSalon for over a year. Each customized hair color sent to me has always been the same perfect blend. No variations. Recently my sister-in-law mentioned she just came back from the hairdresser, having her hair dyed. I asked "how much was it?" She said they usually charge $80.00, but for her it was only $50.00. I immediately told her about eSalon, how she can have a customized color sent, at any schedule she chooses, and the cost is half of her "bargain". And if you think about it, going to a hairdresser can have variables in the hand mixed product each visit, with eSalon, you receive the exact blend every time. Totally TOP QUALITY!

This haircolour was horrible. Way too dark and much too much copper.
I had to correct it myself. Complete waste of my money and all the time it took to get me back to normal.
I cannot recommend your product. Sorry this was a really bad experience. :( I am unable to get the star rating scale above to reflect my review it will allow 5 stars only. I cannot honestly even give the colour result one star.
I won't be ordering again. Please refund my payment minus shipping.

I love the color, its always consistent. I do not like trying to wash my hair after application. I usually end up washing it 3 times and it still has spots that feel crunchy. I don't know what causes this but I am considering not using anymore because I am so irritated with this issue.

Is great for getting rid of greys and love the colour too. The only thing I would change is how after I dye my hair a lot of the dye is still stuck on my hair and scalp and takes a good few days of washing out to get the perfect look but although this is a pain I still love the colour and how it lasts till regrowth shows maybe I'm not doing it right but have been following all instructions to a tee and still have same effect but I still love the product and will carry on using it but hopefully this is something that can be improved maybe? Thank you for getting rid of my greys :)
