HorribleI have colored my greys before and I've never had such large strands of grey hair completely uncovered. My hair was totally saturated. It was NOT an application error. And I chose the darkest brown possible, uploaded a picture and this is still a complete waste of money. I've had better luck with grocery store boxes, so why is the junk more expensive? New colorThe last time I ordered I chose a new color (blue black) and I was not happy with it. Today, I tried re-ordering a color I've used in the past and I'm having a very hard time making any changes to my previous order ("My Color"). There is NO OPTION to change my color, it seems I can only re-order the last color I selected. What the heck?! The ordering process in NOT user friendly and no option to get assistance! Great color but...First...I want to say that the emails and ordering experience was great. The colorist I had helping me was very nice and honest about my color choice and the best way to go for my hair. The color is great! First day afterwards it looked very pretty...but it has now begun to fade and I thought for sure it would last longer. I have only been washing my hair about 2-3 times per week and following instructions to keep it vibrant but compared to store boxes it faded faster. BadI called up explaining the desired colour even written clearly I wanted to achieved ash brown. I ended up waited for almost a week. Wasted my time and effort... I was shipped dark brown when I clearly explained. I need a refund asap. Really disappointed and I thought to call and check yet bad customer service. If you can’t achieved, it’s best to get in touch with your client not making own decision. I paid and its called custom made. I never selected dark brown!!!!! I liked the color, but it straighten my curls ...I really loved the way it arrived with the instructions and everything. I also liked the color, however I got sad because it straighten my curls in some areas and I'm all about my curls. Also I notice that the color didn't last long on my grays. I will give it another try because next time will be a retouch of roots. But I'm truly sad about my curls. Not SatisfiedMy hair did not become the color I asked for, not even close to it. I contacted support to see what can be done about my experience and I did not like that I did not receive a real person response. I was expecting an email from my colorist but instead, I received an automatic response that says I should adjust my color so my next order is better. I feel completely ignored and unhappy. Better communication could make this betterThe packaging is great and the kit comes with everything you could need (including multiple pairs of gloves). The directions are tailored to you and come with a sticker so they can be stuck right to the bathroom mirror. The color itself was awesome when I first applied it and I took photos over the course of 4 weeks to compare to the initial color. The overall color has stayed with exception of the copper which faded very quickly. This was disappointing, especially since I don’t wash my hair every day and use color safe shampoo and heat protectant when using heat styling. This would be a 4-star review, but the part of the experience I found the most frustrating was my experience with the colorist. It was my understanding that you message them what you like and don’t like and they alter your color to try to get it where you want it. We messaged back and forth and the formula hadn’t changed and nothing was resolved. After the last message I never received a response but saw she added a rinse. I shouldn’t feel like I’m putting her out by asking her to help me get the color I want to last longer than a week. This has been my biggest issue with esalon. I’m afraid to give this one more chance. DisappointedI was disappointed initially when I saw the color card. It did not represent at all what I wanted. I was totally disappointed when I dried my hair and saw the gray around my face was still there...no color at all...and I had followed the instructions explicitly! I decided to try ESalon because of the gray. Wow...what a waste of money. I also could not get over how strong smelling it was! My face turned red, and my husband in the next room said his eyes were sore and teary. Maybe this product works for some people, but it is not for me. Very mediocre at best...My natural color is medium flat brown hair, between a level 6 and 7. My hair is previously colored a brown auburn red with 2-3 inches of regrowth at the roots. My eSalon custom color was Medium Brown (Red Copper). They sent me an email to confirm I was OK with this color as they thought it would be too dark or too drastic of a change. I told them that was fine and to proceed, I prefer darker. I had high hopes this would be a bold change as my hair usually takes color (especially red tones) very well. After the lengthy process, I could barely tell the difference. The color just barely evened out my previous color with my roots. The at-home process was annoying and the smell of the products were harsh enough that I opened the bathroom window & door and was still overwhelmed by it. Bin enttäuscht 😔Zwei Sterne gibt es für die wirklich sehr schöne Verpackung und den Inhalt. Es ist alles dabei was man braucht und muss wirklich nichts mehr besorgen. Die Lieferung dauerte schon sehr lange. Als ich nun loslegen wollte und die Farbe zusammen mischte, hielt ich es vor Gestank nicht mehr aus. Der Hauttest war dann auch fatal ausgegangen. Aus Vorsicht meiner Gesundheit gegenüber landete also das fertige Produkt im Müll. Nichts ahnend hatte ich automatisch ein Abo abgeschlossen... Super! Das kündigen des Abos ist einfach aber nirgendwo kann ich finden wie und wohin ich es zurücksenden kann um mein Geld wieder zu bekommen. Also 100% Kundenzufriedenheit sieht anders aus. Not the colour I ordered, hair feel like straw, colour fades quicklyI asked for my colour to be lightened a little from the red that is close to my natural hair color as I am covering a few grays. What I got was BROWN. It is awful. I can't fix it for another 3 weeks since my hair needs time to recover from this tragedy. My hair feels like straw, it is dull, and oddly sticky. I followed all directions. Made sure all of the product was rinsed from my hair, let it air dry for a bit before using the hair dryer. My hair looks and feels terrible. Frustrated!I dont know why, but my hair color is so hard to rinse out. I spend 30 minutes in a warm shower than another 15 stucking my head under the faucet because the water is cold. I scrub and scrub with my hands and go through so much shampoo. I'm so frustrated! I used this a few years ago and had the same thing happen. Custom Colour SetI have been using your product for a good few months now and yes I love it, but I have found that your formula changes quite often. initially, the product would give me a good 10 days coverage on my stubborn temple greys, lately, only the temple greys are visible after the first wash! During the colour process, the product used to make my hair feel almost elastic, so I KNEW it was working, but it no longer feels like that? Better than drug store haircolorDefinitely better than drugstore haircolor but could use some improvements. Still not perfect at covering resistant greys. Very drying if you are already struggling with dry, porous hair. Weekly toner treatments are still required to keep it from turning brassy after 3rd week. Also, gloves are too tight. I applied the color I had requested and it was at least 3 shades darker than I had wanted. It looked awful. It was supposed to be light ash blonde. It wasn’t. Real concern, NO REDReal concern, calked 3+× concerned my hair was too dark, Grey, black. Known to E-Salin it was two yrs since colored! Very harsh, too dark, pulled redThe good news is the color is beautiful and rich, but way too dark. I specifically asked for an Ash color, and I was sent light brown with a red neutralizer. I tested first, and it seemed fine. Followed instructions to a "T" and it was a very messy process. The smell was HORRIFIC, like ammonia I think but I have a bad sense of smell and yet it overpowered me. My hair came out WAY TOO DARK and RED AS ALL GET OUT, and very very dry. My scalp itched for days after I used it. I am very disappointed and now have to pay for a color correction at the salon because I want to avoid more dry damage if I use a lift to pull the color. I'll stick with Sally Beauty and mixing my own, or out of the box works fine for me. Hair Flashes Red and Customer Service is HorribleI've worked with them stylists to try to fix my hair color during an extended period of time and it hasn't worked through the last hair colorings. They won't credit me back shipping since I don't want the hair color and want it returned but they won't do it because it's policy. I'm returning back the additional order they've shipped out to me. But I lost the shipping cost on that as well. They could credit me back for the last hair color treatment since they say they offer 100% satisfaction guarantee but they never offered it when I was on the phone with them. I can't talk to them anymore because my blood pressure is worth more to me than arguing with them. Did exact opposite of what I askedI had a medium blonde hair and haven’t dyed them for about 10 years. Since I started to spot some greys I wanted to brighten my hair a tone of two. After the initial consultation e-salon suggested 7.0 - Dark blonde. It turned out really bad - much darker then my natural colour and with an awful red undertone. Not enough Color for LONG hairI did not end up using this product. I feel I was ripped off. I indicated in my initial account set up that I have very long hair (21 inches root to tip to be exact). I received 1 bottle for my roots/re-growth (only 1 inch of my hair) and the second bottle is supposed to do the remaining 20 inches of hair. I know this will not be a sufficient amount of color as I have used 2+ boxes of color to do my whole head in the past and my current hair dresser uses 2.5x the amount of color she usually does for my head. I have tried to contact customer service/my colorist to see about getting a 2nd bottle of color for my ends with no success. The website is not user friendly and it is difficult to find answers (eg. will I receive enough color to color my whole head. As of right now I am cancelling my subscription. Like the Product but..It covered my greys. The problem is that I chose a color more copper (it turned out darker than copper wire) than I should have. Highlight KitThe kit and instructions were great - just not great for my hair. I use light brown base color and the kit that came for my color created more brassy tones than I liked and seemed to dry my hair out. Didn't cover grey :(Order took 9 days to come (even paying for fast track) when it arrived it was like Christmas, beautiful box with it all set out and the extras I'd ordered. Loved everything about it. Was worried that there wasn't enough dye as I have long thick curly hair. My instructions were to do roots then ends (in the last few minutes) which worried me as I'd not had a dye on my hair for years (how does this do full coverage) I followed the instructions and was easy to do, smells great! End result is disappointing, can still see grey hairs which is the main reason I wanted to colour my hair. I'd asked for it not to be brassy in colour which I received a call about and they altered it accordingly, but now it is quite yellow in colour :( not sure which would be worse. Sticky and greasyThe color looks as I expected, however my hair is extremely sticky and greasy after washing multiple times. It looks like I put a lot of oil in it and I can barely brush through it. Loved the color in FIRST shipmentWhen you order from this company, there is a separate charge for root color and ends color. Surprise!! Shipments come on time, quality is good, but customer service is inadequate. Never got the same root color twice no matter what the bottle was marked, no refunds. Good Customer Service but Bad ColorMy color was not how I expected it! It looked cheap and after one wash faded very much!! I followed all of the directions to fill my highlights and then dye my overall hair. The highlights looked the exact same before and after the fill. The color was okay the first day, just the blonde was a weird color. I washed it for the first time two day later and it looked way lighter! The customer service was great through the ordering process, but they've yet to respond to any of my messages about the color, so I just canceled any future orders all together!! FadingI loved the colour when I first coloured my hair and I did notice a huge difference in texture and feel. However after a short time and washing my hair 2 times a week since, my colour is fading quite quickly. I use the volume shampoo/conditioner that was ordered with my colour and the weekly treatment that was ordered with the colour.
