The COVID-19 virus closed my hair salon and made hair care a challenge. I found a way to cut my hair myself and ordered the hair color from eSalon. I was pleased at the color and how easy it was to use. I looked fine and couldn't have been happier.

I trembled upon receipt of my first kit. I had never colored my own hair, typically spending about $130 at a salon every 5 weeks. Due to Covid-19 and my nasty gray roots, I was determine to overcome my fear. The box arrived with easy to use instructions. The key is to read the instructions through once or twice to make sure you understand. Then, voila! My hair looks great. My daughter actually prefers the color I selected better than my salon color. I think I've convinced her to give it a try!!

Thank you to my stylist who tweaked my color twice. Now I'm doing all over color that looks exactly the same as when I leave the salon! Perfect gray coverage. I was a complete beginner with at-home hair color, but it is easy enough and I love the results! I use the bowl and brush technique and my only lesson-learned is to be careful with the Stain Guard (Vaseline) and don't cover any of the roots near your face or they won't take the color. Lesson learned. :)

I love eSalon color! I achieved excellent coverage of my stubborn grays, and the color is gorgeous. It's beautiful, multi-faceted, natural-looking color that looks like I went to the salon, at less than half the price! This is not like the color kits you can get at the grocery store, which tend to produce a mono-toned color, in my opinion. The DIY Kit sent by eSalon contained everything I needed, including individualized instructions, and the process was super easy. I will certainly be buying my hair color at eSalon from now on.

been using esalon since the New Year and if I thought it was fantastic before lockdown its now invaluable during the current PH crisis. Salon quality, generous sized product ( I have long hair and this provides more than enough coverage for me) I can tweak shade/tone as often as I like and it gets delivered to my door. You get what you pay for..well worth the investment..

I really love the product it was 100% customized for me. Easy to apply. The color is so rich It makes your hair look healthy and strong. 100% coverage of the gray and as the weeks have passed I do not have any dryness that generally comes with chemically colored hair and those gray hairs are still under control. I feel it was a great choice and and I definitely will be using it again

Given these times-this is a fabulous alternative. I never liked going to the salon anyway but never had a good DIY experience. Box dye didn’t give me good coverage and irritated my scalp. This is a quality product and they follow up to make sure you have what you want and need. Went on the auto reorder program to make sure I don’t have to wait to do my hair.

Thank goodness for this option during the pandemic. The kit comes with most things you need. You really need the clips to partition your hair so be sure to buy them.

I was very hesitant to try any online color even though they said it would be made specifically for me by professional colourists. I didn't think any words or pictures I could send would help them very much but was I WRONG!!! A professional colourist actually called me before starting to make my personal color so we could discuss the pictures I sent and what I was expecting from ESalon. She definitely listened because the results from the color they sent were AMAZING! My daughter-in-law is a professional hairdresser and due to the pandemic shutting down salons, I needed a place where I could get my roots touched up and hide my Many, Many Grays...lol...and not having any brassiness. She was amazed at how good a job they did with the color that they sent for me. Not only did it save me a lot of money, I got to do it in the comfort of my home! I'm on the schedule I CHOSE for color delivery at a fraction of the price of a salon. It's so easy, I can also apply the color myself!

I ordered the hairdye after seeing an internet ad during lockdown. I've struggled with greys since my teens as I have dark brunette hair & unfortunately it just runs in my family. The quality of the colour and the grey coverage lasts weeks longer than the shop bought ones I usually get. The set you receive to your door is packaged so nicely, the instructions are great & even the stain guard smells like oranges! My last custom order was lightened to my preference & I added afew extras. As a mum who's on furlough pay at the moment, It's my one lovely treat. Thankyou

I need another try with this product. I don’t doubt it works but I am new to coloring my hair at home. The system itself comes in very impressive and organized Packaging. I seem to have a lot of product leftover for just roots. My hair is only just below my shoulders and fine in texture. I’m not sure I put enough product on my hairline where most of my white comes in and in 1 day I saw 3 patches of white. So I’ll try again.

I absolutely love the results. The instructions are very clear. If you give to the team the correct information on how your hair is and how do you wish to be - definitely they will give their best. For me it worked better than going in a salon. And a big plus is that my hair still looks shiny and not dry because of these great products. I would definitely order them again. Overall a good product. It worked for me. Not perfect but very good. Rating is about 4.5 for me.
I am a biracial African American woman in her early fifties. My hair is thick and grows quickly so during the COVID crisis I was desperate to find a hair coloring solution to color about 3 inches of my grey roots.
My needs were:
1. Maintain healthy hair.
2. Find a quality custom color product that works to color thick ethnic hair but also protects the health of my hair.
3. A custom color to match my professional hair color and highlights.
4. Straight forward and easy process from creating a profile to ordering product.
5. A sample to conduct a strand test on my hair before buying
6. Good communication with customers

1. Allow for 2 pictures to be uploaded when completing profile with a maximum of 4 photos
2. A sample to conduct a strand test of custom color (nominal fee)

3. Allow for more color for long and ethnic hair
4. To see how the custom color would look on you with a virtual mock-up with the custom color
5. General Hair care instructions after the initial color. (not just selling products)
One that shows natural color and the second to shower current hair color
Tips: 1. Follow the instructions closely. 2. Take the the time to comb through hair and section prior to beginning the coloring process 3. Have at least 3 hair clips readily available 4. If you have some one to help you, bribe them because you need their help with coloring the back of your if you only want to color the roots.

Everything was as promised. For the first time to color my hair at home, I was thrilled how it turned out. I had watched lots of videos on how to foil my color in for lowlights and wow, they made it look easy! I struggled with the whole foil thing and just decided to brush it in and while my technique was lacking, it still turned out great! The shampoo and conditioner they sent was awesome so I came back to order some of that today! My hair looks and feels smooth and shiny and smelled great immediately! I had planned on canceling after trying but they made a repeat customer out of me. Thanks!

I am so, so happy I tried eSalon. The website is easy to use and allows you to easily add pictures, view your colour and message your stylist - as well as change your shipping date if needed with ease!
Onto the hair dye, the application is easy to use and unlike other dyes doesn't go hard and sticky when applying, this stays nice and smooth making application easy and less to no chance of missing a patch!
The colour is exactly what I wanted a vibrant red - better than when I've had it done at the salon or by box dye.
I cannot comment on the longevity of the dye as I dyed it yesterday but regardless I cannot rate it enough.
Even if it fades, which red is prone too anyway, I have a lovely looking tint rinse to use until the next ends application!
Normally, I'd get a box dye and put it all over my head every 4 weeks (if not going to a salon) my roots needed 15mins with this kit and my ends 10mins - I followed the instructions exactly feeling as though 10 mins isn't going to be enough (not used to a short amount of time)- but it's all that was needed! And my hair is probably thankful!
Less damage, vibrant colour, saves money and done at home!

Fantastic colour, very unsure at first about home colouring. Instruction very easy to follow, more enjoyable experience than letting a hair dresser do it. No boring sitting around salons with-out-of date year old magazine.
Now onto my second order and gone shade lighter.
Hair colouring is not just for women. Let's get rid of the culture that hair colour is for women. Everybody can enjoy the experience of a new hair colour.

I have always loved the color system and the compliments I get are always amazing. The one thing I didn't like was having to clean up my bathroom from fly away drops of color. Today I colored my hair and didn't realize that there was a new developer. This stuff is fantastic!!!! Not only did I see the color better for application but the best part was no fly away color droplets when I applied it to the back of my head. Then when it was try to rinse in the shower- that developer mixed with water was heaven on my head. No runny color and I was able to better massage the color into my hair. Please don't change back to the old developer..

The colour effect is beautiful, not at all flat like some box dyes can be.

The question and answer review they have you go through is very precise. To get to the color you want. Also if you don't end up liking your color, you can always change it. I really like the ultra moisturizing conditioner that came with the kit. It does what it says it does and I couldn't get enough of it. I was able to use what I got for 3 uses.
My hair is shiney, vibrant and beautiful. I wanted to color my hair because I felt hair lacked luster. E Salon product has given me back my beautiful shiney hair.

I have been coloring my hair for years using a particular drug store brand. My sister suggested I try eSalon and I am never going back! Choosing just the right shade and then having a colorist formulate the perfect color is just what I needed. I can't believe how much longer the color lasts - my gray hair used to show after 3 weeks and with eSalon, it's lasted 6!

Habe das Angebot zum Testen bestellt und den Farbton Gold Mahagoni bestellt. Die Anwendung war einfach, alles war dabei was gebraucht wurde und zum Schluss waren die Haare glänzend, wunderschön und haben so toll gerochen. Die Farbe hat die Haare golden schimmern lassen und alle grauen Haare abgedeckt auch jetzt nach x mal waschen. Bin sehr zufrieden

This product was simple to use, just like regular at home box dye. The color was beautiful and picked just for me. My roots had started to show due to the pandemic and the color perfectly covered them and it blended into my hair very evenly. It didn’t dry out my hair at all. The smell was a little strong, but the product was great. I would choose this route again in a heartbeat.

I have had some bad experiences with home color and this was amazing! The shade was perfect (I like a vibrant copper) - they matched it exactly to what I asked for. The colorist emailed back and forth with me a few times to make sure they understood my needs and answer some questions I had. The color kit arrived quickly with very clear instructions which I appreciated. It was a wonderful experience and I will never go back to salon color after this!

Loved this auburn red with blond tones. Semi permanent was nice as I lived in Florida and my natural hair lightened back to a natural copper red without a noticeable change as the dye washed out and grdually faded. Awesome product!

Love it! Love the color so much. I had a bit hard time with the steps because I’m not familiar with doing hair on my own. I struggled a bit but it turned out well. A few strands of grey hairs are not covered completely but they are less obvious now. My color is ash dark brown with a bit of purple tone when out in sunlight which I love 💕. I’m converted, will continue to order this same color and do it at home instead of going my salon. I think I will get much better with doing it next time. Thank you so much Jennifer!

This was my first kit from eSalon and the ordering process was easy. the base color is really lovely- exactly what I wanted. After following instructions to the T, my hair looked good but felt dry. I emailed my colorist and she sent me the repair conditioner. I'll review that apart from this. I have had better gray coverage from Matrix but I like the color so much and the Cust. Service was so good that I'm going to give it another go. Overall this was a very good experience- I have my 1st auto ship arriving this week. I wanted to leave another review but it looks like I can just update this 1. My 1st auto shipped has arrived and eSalon Customer Service is incredible! This 2nd kit showed that they read , listen and remember. My hair looks AND Feels fabulous!! Was 4, now 5 stars!!!

I was skeptical about purchasing a color online ...but with the introductory price of 12 $ and lots of good reviews I decided to give it a try.
I was extremely happy...all the tools were provided to complete the color and it was fun picking a color from the huge range of choices.
My color choice covered my gray perfectly and left my hair so soft and shiny, and it lasted a long time !

I have been coloring my own hair for almost a year using a drugstore color. The drugstore color was pretty but never lasted long even though it was called a permanent color. Immediately after coloring it would look like it was fading after one wash and I always use a sulfate free color friendly shampoo.
I colored my hair yesterday and Immediately after using my eSalon color I knew this was a great product. The color is so rich, has depth to it and matched perfectly. I put in my information with pictures and included the the type/number of the drugstore color I was using hoping to receive something similar and they hit the nail on the head.
Again I just colored it yesterday so I will update my review after a few weeks to tell you how the color has held up.
