I read the reviews about this service but I still had cold feet. I finally decided to take the plunge and use this service. Best decision I have made in awhile ! This formula was non damaging and gentle to my hair. I will say I have never had such vibrant realistic color since I first started coloring my hair. This service is a keeper. If you are concerned about fragile hair I should tell you I have several health conditions that cause my hair to be delicate along with certain medications I must take daily. I had no problems at all. Hope this helps !

I don't have to go to the store to get my hair dye anymore, it is conveniently sent to me in the mail and is on autoship so I don't forget to order. The product is excellent quality. Color matches exactly how I need it. I will be using Esalon for eternity!! Love the hair color so much, I am gonna try the other products they have as well.

Really like this color. Despite my hair being mostly grey, when it is colored the golden tones were coming through making it too light after a few washes. I needed to stay in Dark Blonde range, (Browns are too dark) so this change, made in October has really helped. Like it so much better. It took attention and correspondence, you can't expect to hit it right the first time through and you worked with me to achieve this. Thank you.

It's hard to believe how good this product is! The color is very vibrant and deep (mine is medium brown).

I have to admit I was very skeptical at first with coloring my roots at home. But after following the simple instructions, I was very pleasantly surprised with the results. The color was perfectly matched to my current color, so it did not look like that “just got your hair colored” look. Plus, there was no lingering odor after washing and my hair looked shiny and felt soft. It was fast, easy, and I was able to do it in my own home the night before work the next day! I’m very pleased with my results!!

I loved everything about it, the fact that there was plenty of colour for my long hair, the accessories, how my hair felt super soft rather than it's usual dried self after colouring and all of this for the same price as buying 2 over the counter hair dye which is super damaging for your hair.

I was happily surprised at the vibrancy of this color. I feel my personal colorist really listened to my preferences and created a color that well suits me. It's a little dark/bold at this time, however I feel like it will mellow out in a few washes as reds always do. I really like the color and products that come with it, and will be setting up an auto-ship for my color. Thank you!

The color turned out great! I will however, need to leave my color on my roots a bit longer than recommended. I am gray. When it was time to rinse out the color before washing, the color
rinsed out easily. And there was no left over color smell. The shampoo and conditioner fragrance is great! So for me this is for sure a grand slam! Great job eSalon!

I had chosen a target color and received an email later that same day from my color care team letting me know they felt the color I had chosen would be too dark. They modified it and shipped the adjusted color. My new color matched my natural color perfectly!

My color is perfect. It is exactly what I wanted and looks like I spent $100+ on it at a salon. It was the perfect shade and saved me loads of time and money. The shampoo and conditioner included were so good I am buying some for regular use. I highly recommend this system if you want to have hair that looks like a million bucks without paying a million bucks!

The color turned out so beautiful. I've gotten so many compliments about how perfect the color goes with my skin tone. I was a little nervous because what I chose was quite different for me. But I absolutely love it! I had lots of gray in my hair and always have had trouble covering it with other at home coloring brands but this did great! It does contain ammonia since you have to have that in order for it to be a permanent color application so just thought you should know that since that has a very distinct smell. Be sure to follow the instructions about finishing it in the shower by adding water to the mixing bowl or bottle and mixing together then pouring it over your hair and massaging for 2 to 3 minutes. Very important. When you go to rinse it you may think it feels like it's not rinsing but just pay attention to the fact that the color is fully rinsed when the water runs clear and use the shampoo and conditioner and those will wash out any residue. I was a little clumsy with pouring the water mixture over my head but I'll do better at it as I get used to doing it. I've had my color done for a week and still love it!

I’ve been a strawberry blonde / redhead all my life. My hair started going gray in my late 30’s and it was impossible to find a hair color off the shelf that looked natural. Professional coloring was super expensive and I don’t have the time to sit at the salon or forecast out my schedule. Found eSalon on Facebook and gave it a shot and have been a fan since. Just did my roots only touch up. The color is great! Explained that my hair grabs color and turns dark fast and pulls a red cast very easily. The formulation that my colorist mixed did none of those! Very happy and will continue!!

I cannot begin to tell you how beautiful my light lab highlights are! So easy to use. Great instructions & no awful fumes from the mixture A+! My medium copper red got so many compliments right away. I used two colors, one for roots and one for existing, and they blend perfectly. My hair didnt get all dried out and fade out quickly like a drug store color would in past. Looking forward to trying other products. This mail order is so much easier than spending 30 minutes in the store trying to decide which color on my own!!!

The entire process was easy to use with clear directions. My daughter applied the color for me and it turned out beautifully. I’ve had it in for 3 weeks now. I have hard-to-color grays so I’ve been watching carefully. While the color is still vibrant, I can see a few stubborn grays whose color appears to have slid off, but overall I’m loving my color. The colorists developed the perfect shade for me based on a photo I submitted.

My grey roots are fully covered and the custom color looks great. My hair is shiny and the darker color from another product looks a little lighter as I wanted. At my age darker hair makes me appear hard. I'm not young so I wanted to look my age, but not fake. The custom color made just for me looks so good. Thank you so much. This is my first experience with eSalon. I submitted my requested color, and the Colorist (Paul) came back with a suggestion for a color that might be a better match. I took his suggestion and was glad I did. The result is PERFECT! I compared it with my prior professional salon applied color and the eSalon dye and it is virtually the same. Thanks Paul!!!

After years of getting color at the salon, I needed to cut back on expenses and decided to try eSalon. My color is gorgeous; it's just what I asked for, which is something close to my natural hair color that will cover greys and have some dimension. All of my friends whom I've told that I've switched from the salon to doing my hair at home are really impressed by the color. I recommend getting the starter kit with a first order because it's made my being able to do it myself much easier. My first time doing my roots was a little awkward, but now I've got it down pat. Unless I come into a whole bunch of money, I can't imagine ever going back to the salon.

I'm so happy with my custom colour, it's just what I wanted it to look like. The instructions were incredibly easy to follow and I can already tell that it's going to last longer than shop bought or even salon applied colours as there was no run onto my towel once fully cleaned like every other time I've dyed my hair.
