I used to drive quite a ways to a beauty supply for the trade to get my base color. And then, it was only adequate. I read about e-salon and decided to try. Not only is it convenient, but it's the perfect color. I do my base and my stylist adds two colors of highlights when I get a cut. It saves me boatloads of money. Also, I can adjust my delivery date when my greys pop out early!

This is the best at home color that I've ever had! The company is very easy to work with….. you can easily change your color, or delivery date! I have received so many compliments on my hair color and condition since I started using my just for me color! Even the stylists who have cut my hair compliment me (and you know they usually don't, because they want your color business!) We travel, and it is so nice to know that I can take this product with me and not have to worry about a surprise color! The soft and silky texture of my hair is an added bonus!

This is the first hair color that has really complimented my medium brown skin tone. Most box dyes aren't really formulated for EVERY skintone. I pay about the same if not more on Beauty supply dyes just so I can mix them to get that right perfect color. Esalon has completely simplified this for me. With Super easy to follow instructions, it's just a really great product. I have a few favorite box dye brands that I like, but I am saving money with this product in the long run because I am not a professional and I don't like playing Russian roulette with my hair!
Also a side note, a lot of people are really sensitive to the smell of hair dye this doesn't really have that lasting "hair dye" smell if anyone was wondering. I would have given it 5 stars but sometimes I have important engagements coming up, maybe last minute over the weekend for example. and I have to wait for shipping which can sometimes be a little less convenient than grabbing a box dye ...

I have very dark, almost black hair and have started going grey. I am not ready to go grey but almost all colors I have tried from the stores fade within the first week, showing a lighter brown color. It makes me so self conscious and looks bad. Since using the eSalon color, I have not had any fading in between color sessions, only my new growth! I am so happy with it. I think you will be too!

My husband prefers i color my hair rather than let it go grey so I would buy the box color from the drug store. Eventually, the box color did not cover the grey and I grew tired of having to dye my hair so frequently. That's when I switched to eSalon. It works great on my grey and the colorists tweeted the color to my satisfaction. Customer service is great, too! I had one box that arrived with a leaky bottle and they replaced the entire box immediately and without charge! I LOVE eSalon! I'm a customer for life!

I love getting my hair color when I need it. No more waiting for an appointment and I get to do it in the privacy of my own home. No more grey!!! Using the brush and cup and clips makes things easier also. Can't beat the price either.

I did the box-color thing for years. Just about the time I found a color that worked for me, it would be discontinued. Even if I bought the same color and same brand, there were times when the color looked lighter/darker/more red/blonder/ than the last box. As far as longevity, it was anyone's guess how long the color lasted.
The first coloring made me an eSalon believer. I'm a nobody, but my hair has a color formula specifically for me. How cool is that! There are NO surprises- EVER. I can have as many formulas as I want. I have one formula for fall/winter, and a different formula for Spring/Summer. I set up a Pay-Pal account ONLY for eSalon and it comes right to my mailbox. I love the color that we have gotten it to be, the "softness" and "natural-ness" of the way my hair looks from day-to-day. I think the esalon color looks much more "real" and natural compared to all the do-it-yourself hair color kits on the market. I plan to stay with this as long as the price stays the same as I live on a very fixed income.

I'm so happy I found out about Esalon. They are by far the best colorists ever! No salon has been able to match my natural hair color the way Esalon has. I can't say enough about how truly amazing Esalon is. The color is identical to my own color. The packages is elegant and professional to say the least. I think back at the few times I've gotten highlights and after they had grown out the salon makes you have a double/triple process trying to achieve my hairs natural color and it always looked like it was colored we'll never with Esalon. My hair is something I have taken great care of and the few times I've been to a salon it looks unnatural. Esalon allows me to keep my exact natural color and provides me with an identical shade that keeps my natural highlights too. It's great to for me because I can change how often I need to add color just to get rid of those pesky grays and when the sun lightens my hair. I've used the semi-permanent but I've decided to give the permament a try (due to those annoying grays!). I'm extremely impressed and will remain a loyal client! Great job Esalon!!

Since my first order, I have adjusted each color just a bit. When I applied my last order, I was happy when people commented on how well the color looked and as if there were highlights also added. When I told them the color was from eSalon and I applied it at home, they were just amazed. I can't believe how easy you make it. Everything is in the kit you will need to color your hair, just mix the color with the developer together in the bottle provided, no measuring, put on the gloves provided and you are ready to color your hair. I am very happy with eSalon hair color and will continue using it.

I have used many store bought hair colors, but this 'Custom Hair Color' is fantastic. It is so easy to use, the color is fantastic I receive lots of compliments and people want to know where I get my hair done at. They are shocked to find out that I do it on my own. The product is easy to use and super convenient. I have improved my skill and techniques as I have colored my own hair. I used the mixing bowl, brush applicator and the hair clips which all are very helpful and of good quality.

I have been coloring my own hair for many MANY years - generally using store bought boxed hair colors. When I saw eSalon advertised on Pinterest I thought I would give it a try - liked the idea of having the box come in the mail rather than me having to remember to pick it up. What impressed me the most was that when I was filling out the questionnaire I just "described" my hair color from when I was a very young child to the color I like it to be now. I did not send in a picture or a swatch of hair. I figured whatever they came up with would be close as long as it fit in the auburn category and we could tweak it from there. Basically I just told them my hair was strawberry blonde as a high schooler and when I was in my 20's I started putting more red in my hair and now that I'm in my 50's I like it to be a light but warm auburn. When my first package came I was a little nervous about what the hair color would turn out to be but I am not a person that freaks at a too short hair cut or a color that is just a little off so not being as picky as a lot of other women are I was still willing to give it a shot. The day I colored my hair I was very pleased with the results - still kind of shocked that they could get it right on with so little information to go on. I saw my sister later that same evening and her exact words were: "I love your hair - I swear that's the best color I have ever seen your hair." So folks - I'm very impressed with the formula they came up with - it's exactly what I would have wanted and I've never had them change a thing about it. Was perfect from the first try - I don't know how they did it. The color covers more of my gray hairs then the over the counter color did even tho the brand I used was supposed to be extra great on gray hair. My hair feels great - does not feel dried out or frizzy and I can depend on my hair color being just right every time. I love everything about eSalon - I'm a big fan!

I have had grey hair since my early twenties and started coloring it. I have gone to salons in the past when my hair was too long for me to color adequately. I cannot believe how many people ask me where I get my hair done (colored) once I switched to eSalon. I love the color. It looks very natural and does an excellent job covering all my grey ( I am 80% grey). I am in my late 50's now and I can honestly say this is the best hair color I have ever used. I'm 52 yrs old and stopped coloring my hair 7-8 yrs ago. I recently decided I wanted to add a little color just to liven up my hair. It's naturally a dark blonde that both a mix of ash and golden tones. I tried the dark blonde, natural golden. It took me several days to get the nerve to go ahead a apply the color. I was stunned when I dried it out.... absolutely perfect!. I did not want to really change my color, again, just get rid of the ash tone. I love it!!! So glad I did it. My skin tone even looks better. Thanks eSalon!

I love this product. It leaves my hair softer and shinier than drugstore type coloring products and is exactly the color I want. It covers all my greys, too! I love that it comes to me on my schedule and I don't have to wonder if the drugstore will be out of my color when I need it.

eSalon just makes the whole process easy. My haircuts became more costly so I decided to start doing color myself. My husband becomes "Serge" every 6 weeks and applies the color for me. Once that is done, I get into the shower to complete the process instructions provided by eSalon and I have perfect hair color for another 6 weeks. My expert Master Cutter always comments on how great my color is. Thank you eSalon!
