I had no idea which color to pick--and your colorists let me know that my original choice was bad news. And then, after having some questions after my first application, someone actually called me to tell me what I SHOULD be doing. Second application turned out great and I'm loving it. I am pleased with this product. I have been using it for over six months now. I miss my highlights but all in all this just makes much more sense for my budget. They came up with a good color that i enjoy. And it's fairly simple and has excellent directions to follow for beginners. I would recommend this product. I think you'll be satisfied.

The color is exactly what I asked for. It covers my grey hair and lasts for about 6-7 weeks. It doesn't seem to dry out my hair and I am completely happy with it!

This is the best hair color I've ever used. Completely covers gray, leaves hair so shiny and healthy-looking. The color is perfect. Get the coloring brush if you need to cover roots at temples.

absolutely love the product. True test of quality. The eSalon hair dye does not hurt my scalp like the dye products as other "reputable" salons did in the past. Added benefit..... the product doesn't fade like the "reputable" salon products did either. I recommend this product for its top quality.

I love this product -- the color was custom made for me, and my hair is a tricky color - I am a natural redhead who is now gray but want to retain my birth color without looking it looking too harsh, too brassy, too fake, or just wrong for my age and my skin color now that I am in my late 50's. I was pleased that they developed a color for me very close to my natural color, which is pretty tricky to do for red! It treats my hair well, and the conditioner that comes along with it is the best -- I wish they would sell the conditioner on its own - I would buy it and use it often. I can say that this color, like most reds, fades quickly -- I have to color at maximum every five weeks, and probably every four would be better. I also find that the recommended "run color through the ends for only a minute" (after you have colored the gray new growth) is not really quite enough to lay down color - the ends fade, and so I have taken to leaving the end color on for about 5 minutes. This isn't a complaint about the product - its just that red fades faster than other colors, so keeping the ends color up just takes a little more than other colors, I think. I love how the color is custom made, and can be adjusted or tinkered with. All in all am very pleased with this product.

Since the first time I started using e salon for my custom hair color I've noticed a difference in the texture of my hair. Store bought hair colors left my hair dry and coarse, even for my thinning hair. From the first time that I purchased and used E salon custom hair color I've noticed that my hair looks fuller, feels softer and actually looks healthier. Not easy finding a natural copper red shade but they did it! It took approx 5 tries until we got it "perfect", but during that time I never felt it was brassy or obvious. Faithful customer for over two years now. Price is 60-75% less than a salon. I treat myself to a 'home spa day' when I color and feel like a million bucks afterward. I'm so grateful for eSalon!

Colour using the semi permanent really works for me. I went for a hair cut at the salon the day after, and my hairdresser admired the colour and shine, saying it really suits my skin tone.

The custom hair color is such a great value for the price. It arrived quickly and I loved the personal color formula they mixed for me. The right shade of red can be tricky to achieve even at the salon, but I am so happy with the color. It's perfect and vibrant and seriously looks like I had it done by a professional. I will definitely order again.

I used my color last night and couldn't wait to write a review. I was truly amazed at such an exact match for exactly what I asked for. I keep looking in the mirror because I cannot believe how perfect it is. I will never buy a store box color kit again. Plus my hair did not feel like straw when I rinsed the color out, the shampoo was light and frothy, the conditioner was heavenly!! Today my hair feels healthy and full. I can't wait to show my hairdresser. You have an amazing service and product. I am extremely happy and still in disbelief how great this is! I used to color my hair and have to wait 10 days for the color to settle down after a few washings. Not with this!! Thank you so much for your good work!!

I do love the coverage of the grey. I went grey very young (16) so I have had my fair share of trying to find dye that would work to cover it for more then a week. I can say this one covers my grey till it grows out. I love the color! Never looks like it came from a box! Plus I have very sensative skin, and this one dont bother me at all. Love it!!!

I've been coloring my hair for years, using OTC products that never quite resulted in the "natural" look I so wanted. I decided to try eSalon after reading one of their ads online that told how they custom mixed everyone's hair color specifically for them! They actually requested I send them a head shot so that they could see the current color and condition of my hair and proceeded to formulate my color based on what I told them I was looking for and the photo. I was amazed the first time I used their product and my hair actually came out looking exactly how I wanted it......very natural looking color streaked with soft shiny highlights! After the first couple of colors, I noticed I received new instructions for the color application. I contacted them and they explained that in order for the color to remain consistent, the timing and application process would change periodically.....how thoughtful is that?! They also contact you prior to every shipment to see if you'd like to make any changes to anything or try any of their other products. I really can't say enough about this company; I am beyond happy with the products and service. By the way.....my hair is now pretty much white, but no one would know based on the color and condition!

My hair actually feels great after coloring it! The color didn't fade over the course of 7 weeks, which meant I actually noticed my gray roots as opposed to a sad, brassy color.

Very good product, easy to receive your custom color by mail, helpful staff that will adjust your formulation, all at a reasonable price! Only dislike I have is the runny product and hard to wash out, sticks to your scalp, but really great results! Will continue to use this product!

The color is perfect. I hate when my color lifts or fades after a few days to a red or brassy color, this one doesn't. The color is very natural and seamless. You can't tell that I have recently colored it, which is what I want. A+ color :)

The shade is a little lighter, so it blends well with the ends. Easy to apply; length of color time (40 min.) is just right to completely color the gray roots and blend them with the rest of the hair.

Being a stay home mom is time consuming so sitting in a salon is not an option. I did my hair in all of 30 mins while still getting things done around the house. Because of my previous salon highlighted hair the color varies but i like it so much i think I've figured out how to do it all at home!

I have colored my hair at home multiple times. I have even splurged to have it professionally done in a salon a few times. I've never been as pleased with the results as I was with my eSalon color. My favorite aspect of it is how natural it looks; this is the color I've always wished I could have naturally. I am by no means an expert or even really good at applying hair color, but with the instructions, tools, and supplies in my first kit, I was able to get results I am very happy with.

I have been using eSalon Custom Color for about 3 years now. I have to say it is the best! I have been able to dial in my exact color just like in a salon but for much better price. Plus I have been doing my own color for years and had to mix drug store colors to get what I wanted. What a pain. I just love the color and texture that I get with eSalon.

I love your hair color, it's so convenient and easy to use! the color holds up well in between uses. I also like how my kit arrives promptly and has everything that I need. My co-workers are envious of how natural and pretty my color looks and they pay high dollar to go to the salon to get their color done.

Just tried my personalized color. Turned out beautiful. There was also enough for another hair treatment. Very pleased with the color they personalized, the gloss color, and the quality of the kit. Instructions are easy to follow although it's rather cumbersome for me since my hair is down to my hips. Sure beats the $125 salon fee though.
