I think the original color is better for me. Everyone complimented me on it but no one liked the darker. I do like the darker for the fall/ winter months since other went gray faster. I wish your product lasted longer than 2 weeks than it fades. I don't wash my hair for 2 days to make it last . I just tried the tint today an will see how it works over the next few weeks not sure this is the same as the highlight kit.? Love the conditioner which I will order some next shipment. Also the highlighter when you get it in sign me up for one

I love the color change, but I think maybe a little less brown and a little more red. I just colored 10/14, so I have not tried the tint rinse yet. What do you think?

I colored just the roots, and the match was very close. I had to repeat the application in areas where my hair was more white than grey (temples, sides, bits of part) . There was enough product for a second application and coverage was better after the second application. I wonder if it's possible to get a separate amount of a darker color to apply to those areas at same time when doing the roots? I have long hair and there wasn't quite enough shampoo/conditioner for a good wash. Really like the freedom your product provides to control when to touch up roots. Love that it gets delivered right to me!

I DO NOT let anyone ever touch my hair.. When i was 21.. someone at a salon when i was 21 years old,, the colorist totally bleached and ruined my existing hair.. till i found my blonde hair specialist and have NEVER skewed away from him.. However,, i have bought my colour from them for 4 years now to DIY.. but to get htem on the phone,, and to park etc,, is such a hassle.. yet i went. Now they lacked returning my call 3 times, so i decided not to be feel stuck .. and try something else that could be even better..

Ordered ,, did the colour,, and I AM not just impressed with the packaging and all hte little final touches on their products.. i truly loved the whole experinec.. from ordering, to connecting with the colorist ,, to the final product.
my old con,, for me personally,, and it may be because i am used to doing my own for years.. is that i dont find it effective to do my roots putting my hair in 4 sections,, i used maybe half the bottle ... and waited
what happened? it truly dindt really take on much of a shade difference where i was happy.. it made me feel kinda bummed. but still hopeful

I really liked the color. I did not think it covered the silver very well. It’s only been a few weeks and I can see silver throughout. Not really sure why? I don’t have typical “roots” it’s more diffuse. Thoughts???

At first the color was a nice reddish brown but then it darkened the next day. My hair did feel nice and smooth a few days but the smell was not to my liking.

I started using during the pandemic when salons were closed. I really like the product and the feel on my scalp and hair but it took 3 or 4 shipments to get my color correct. My hair is much darker than I want - I selected golden brown and my hair is definitely dark brown. My colorist has worked with me and the color is correct now but will take time for all my hair to grow out and be the right color. If you have grey hair the coverage is excellent but the color grabs much darker than the color you select.

Small issues with my initial order getting additional dye for my extra thick extra long hair. My porous hair is down to my mid back and I was told that the 2 bottle kit would be enough..... it wasn’t. However once I got enough product, the color was spot on the the grey coverage is excellent!

The color is good. It lasts and covers gray. I do wish th the color was a little more strawberry. Right now it’s pretty blonde. I’ve put off ordering because I still have color color I haven’t used.

I received my color kit last week and finally got to color my hair today. I really like this color, it’s a bit darker than I expected, but I really like it. The golden shades, don’t show as much as I’d like. What bothers me, is that there’s always something missing from the color kit. I didn’t get a brush or a cap to cover my hair. There were things missing from my first kit too.

Lockdown came & so did my grey roots. And now in the predicament of having to home colour my hair & the thought of trawling through the boxes of hair dye, scratching my head....which colour ...will it match...will it be a desarster?
I read about esalon years ago & as they answered all my doubts in their questions i went ahead & ordered.
When it came, I opened the box & was well chuffed with the colour match.
After doing the roots & mid lengths for first time, I plucked up courage to look into the mirror....would I ever be able to leave the house again .....Yes yes yes! Wow! Super dupa result!

I used it once and then decided to go back to the store brand. After coloring hair for the 3rd time in 3 weeks and still seeing greys, I decided I was wasting both my time and my money doing it with the store brand and so went back to eSalon. So far it's been 3 weeks. No greys and no roots showing.

The color is spot-on! It is easy to make changes to the color, tone, etc. is easy to do. However, the product doesn't do very well on the gray hair in the front - but the salon has difficulty hiding those hairs as well.

The color is good, but I'd like a little better gray coverage for some pesky hair right toward the front/top of my head. Perhaps I just need to do a thicker application there and leave it on a teeny bit longer.

I love my custom color! I love how long the color stays in my hair and the consistency of the color. I only have one complaint about 2 of my kits. Two kits came with only 1 set of gloves and in 1 kit, one glove was torn. So I had one set of gloves but actually only one glove. My hand got stained. Each kit after has come with 2 sets of gloves.

The last color I got from you guys was actually much lighter than it should have been. The chart that showed the color was backwards with the blend, had the same amounts but the color turned out lighter, not really sure why. So far I have been very happy with your coloring products.

I recently asked my stylist,Tamara to review my usual Darkest Brown & change to Intense Red. I followed her instructions, unfortunately instead of being an Intense Red as expected, I was disappointed to see the end result, which to me, & others had only ever-so slightly given, reddish highlights. I'm looking forward to trying, the second batch of the same Colour, & intend leaving it in for a further 10 minutes, when I will apply in another 10 weeks!!! Tamara, very kindly gave me my 2nd Colour of Intense Red free, as per contract, if your not satisfied.
I Love esalon, & their Products, there is no need to re-apply every 6-8 weeks as with most shop bought colours. I will continue to use esalon as my Colour Specialist, I have never been more impressed with a Hair Colour, & Products than I have with esalon.

I like the color but it is warmer than I expected. Looking for something that blends with gray better. Also, did not get great coverage in the front but could be my application. Not certain, but I tried to follow instructions closely.

I loved this product ....except....my color was a teeny bit too dark. However I think if this is what I have to live with I will take it. Because of Covid-19 this year is the first year I have been coloring my own hair in about 10 years. I started with a different major mail order company (MR). Beautiful packaging, HORRIBLE SMELL. Their product smelled like cigarette ashes including their shampoo & conditioner. Then my hair turned from dark brown to a dull reddish color after a few weeks, I was pretty disappointed. I texted my stylist of almost 30 years and she told me she had heard raves about your product. Well I wish I would have started here. None of your products smelled bad & your shampoo & conditioner smell lovely. My hair color has remained the SAME color & not turned reddish or any sort of copper. It’s a beautiful DARK brown. As I said if this is all there is, then I will take it, I’m not a light brown hair color person, but this came out almost black on me. I don’t expect perfection from distance shopping, but in my limited experience this has been a wonderful product.

I don't think this is for me. Although after the second time, I have seen some of the darker shades, I have seen too much of the lighter shades, Perhaps if my hair was a lighter color, it would be more noticeable.

This product was beautifully designed with all the bells and whistles, gloves, smudge guard, stain remover really first class. I used it a few time and had a bit of an allergic reaction last time as it was too harsh smell and made skin a but red. My bad for not pre-testing per the instructions. The grey coverage was great and so was the colour but I can't use it anymore. My body is too sensitive 😩

I first wrote a very bad review, because it made my hair feel like straw and was very frizzy but after using the neutralizer and putting on a couple hair mask the color turned out great and the mask help fix the frizziness and help it to feel soft. Hopefully it was because I didn’t do it correctly but I will try it again because I love the color and see if the same thing happens.

Love your products. Few suggestions: Application bottle hard to squeeze. Shampoo and conditioner packets still hard to tear open with wet hands even though redesigned. Gloves too small. Thanks!

I bought my specialized product back in June, could not use it because i wanted to treat & grow my hair. Three days ago I applied my color. I loved the texture and the quality of my hair, though I have to wait and see how long my grey hairs will stay away. My friend who applied the product on me, loved the result so much that she got the email address and yesterday ordered hers.
After all said, I did not like my color so much. My color turned out to be too dark, darker than what i had before or I needed. Secondly, the color wand I bought is even darker than my new hair color.
Will like to change my color.
I really love the product so far, and would recommend to many more friends & family, now that I have experienced it first hand.

I typically love my color. This time, I seem to be seeing a reddish tint. Am I mistaken. I did use the bottle vs the brush. Did I perhaps not mix well enough? Please just check to be sure my formula stays the same.

I've been using esalon for about 5 years and my hair has never looked so beautiful and undamaged. One recommendation, if you have grey make sure you show it in the picture otherwise it won't be blended to cover your grey.

I’m not quite sure of this color. It’s a little too dark. I thought what I said was that I wanted to transition just a little a tad darker. But it’s brown. And I just really wanted to not be so blonde from the suns lightning.
I guess I need to go back to the color before this one.

This kit came with mostly everything I needed (except a cape/smock) to easily and successfully apply my own hair color. The application process was a little bit more time consuming than I expected, but the custom instructions were easy to comprehend.
I thought the final result was a beautiful color! However, it was a bit more brown - and not nearly as red - as I had hoped or expected... I loved the mahogany color but red tones are sort of my “signature”. The product overall was great though! 5 stars!!

So this was my third kit with eSalon. The color is on point, and the fact that the red stays vibrant for so long is really awesome. My one frustration is that the past two times I have received my kit, there is no brush included... for those of us who work faster and get better coverage with the brush, it is a huge bummer that it has been missing out of my last two kits..

Had a real issue with white roots not taking the color or washing out by 1st shampoo...I wasnt happy as I had tried esalon to fix the issue and the first formula did not....they reformulated my color at no charge and finally...white roots are gone!! Now I am happy!! If your first effort falls short let them know...they make good on their promise!!

The first order came with a pick/brush to help with the application. It helped a lot but, I assumed it was single use. I threw it away and never received another one.
The color matches well. I do wish I could get more Depth/tone differences but, I’m happy to hide my grey.

Covers my gray well and the color is a perfect and natural match. Other brands I tried gave me more of a mousy , dull result. The only reason I give it 4 stars is the strong ammonia color. I would prefer a product without ammonia.

I love the subtle changes the colorist makes in my formula, based on my request. I still find myself getting the ends colored too much. My only negative: when a professional colored my hair, the condition of my hair was better.

I think my hair was a bit shinier, the color covered the grey. I think l picked a color a little too dark but not that dark, flat one shade. Its pretty but a little too dark for an old women. Otherwise lovely!

I requested it tweaked a little from the previous color and this color is perfect. Only thing, Is I wish they put something in the order that tells me what the color is expected to be. 'ie a little darker than previous order; otherwise I am just putting it on my hair and trusting what color it is going to turn out to be.

My first order was ok. The color was way off from what I was wanting and it was just mediocre. I sent my thoughts to the stylist assigned to me, along with photos of my hair. She nailed it! My new color was exactly what I wanted and I freaking love it! I changed my auto order to every 8 weeks to also include the ends refresher because I love the whole look and didn’t just want the roots. So glad I found esalon and will continue to order on a regular basis!
