I love the color combination, but I can see my gray creeping back in, around my hairline, just after 2 weeks, my gray is the heaviest around my hairline😩

I think my color match was great. The process was pretty easy to mix, and prep was ok, but it was difficult for me to do the back of my head. I think it was a good intermediary fix for my color while I awaited my salon to open after Covid 19. I made a bit of a mess on a new item in my bathroom, because it splattered onto a surface after I applied it to the back of my head. I can't get the stain out. Make sure you protect everywhere in your bathroom.

First, I have to say that I really like this site and that I had a custom color provided with beautiful packaging and instructions. That goes a long way towards making me feel more confident and excited to learn how to do my own color.
I watched several videos to apply my color to cover about 2 inches of gray from living in lockdown for 2+ months. While the videos were clear, I struggled to know how to keep each tranche of hair separate. I didn't feel coordinated, and my hair got sort of pulled into clumps, rather than distinct sections. This is entirely a user error and I hope that with time (and maybe the help of my husband?) I will get better at the application process.
I also wasn't sure how much color to put on, and I feel like I under-colored because some grayness is still present under the color.
My roots look ever-so-slightly "hot" but not aggregiously so.
So, all in, I will definitely use eSalon again because the product and guidance is good on the outset, but I'm still learning how to apply and what steps I could take to course-correct hot roots.

I like very much how a stylist reached out and contacts you. I ended with getting a dark brown for my roots and gold for the ends. I liked the ease, but the root color ended up being very red which I wasn’t prepared for.

the first color I applied was too ashy and dark. It faded nice over about 9 weeks. I was scheduled to get my second color at 12 weeks, but changed it.to a closer date. I adjusted it for a little more warmth and bam, just right. Love it. I was recovering from a bayalage color that I was over, it has been lock down, everywhere has been closed. I have tried another brand that is common in FB ads, but the color choices weren't right, so custom color was great- I loved the fact that they give such specific easy to follow directions. Its just like a salon at home.

With the pandemic lock down and our province was the worse, shutting all borders on March 11, I kept meaning to dye my hair and had actually two shipments come in but when the only place to go is the grocery store and the pharmacy, why bother, put a hat on! Then you think that with the hairdresser not open to cut your hair, why dye hair that you wont be keeping. Well, finally, the hairdresser opened and by the time she was finished, I discovered my hair was now gray, white, blonde and black. She said to wait and see if maybe I would prefer it that way. Well, I got a call to go for a cat scan that had been postponed and thought oh god, no way I can go to the hospital looking like that, they would admit me for sure because no one in their right mind would go out looking like that, so out came the dye. You know, I seriously didn't know if all would be dyed ok, but I did have more dye if worse came to worse. I have been a customer of yours for many years but didn't think in that drastic a case, it would cover the many colors involved. I shouldn't have worried, everything came out perfect!! I look human again and my hair looks great!! I wish I had more places to go though to show off, but we are still unable to leave the province without going into quarantine and living in a tourist town with no tourists, there is no place to go but I am thinking that maybe after my appointment tomorrow, I will get out my bike and peddle my ass around town to show everyone my hair (without the baseball cap). I am so happy I switched to you because I am totally certain that one dye job with someone elses product would NEVER have done this so well. Thank you!

My eSalon box got sent back twice at no fault of their own. I was having issues with my post office and so the first time it happened I called them to let them know and before even waiting for the shipment to return they sent out a new 1. When the second shipment got returned I was going through a busy week didn't have time to call so they reached out to me and let me know that my shipment was returned again. no questions asked they resent my shipment for the third time. Luckily by that time USPS had learn to do their job and I received my package. The package basically was two hair dyes because I have long hair. one for my roots and one for the rest of my hair. this was astonishing to me cuz did I mention I only paid $10. The hair color didn't come out quite like I had thought it would but I also hurried up and rushed through the Styling quiz section so again no fault of eSalon. Anytime anybody asks me if I dyed my hair I am sending them to your company you guys rock. Just so I don't sound like I'm sponsored, I do wish the packets of the shampoo and conditioner were a bit bigger.

Produkt und Farbe soweit gut. Allerdings ist die Coloration sehr geruchsintensiv und nur für die Ansatzfärbung war es viel zu viel Produkt. 1/10 des Produktes wäre ausreichend gewesen. Musste leider ganz viel hinterher entsorgen :(

So as most of us during quaretine we could not access hair colour that wast from the drug store I typically would purchase my hair colour from a supply store. I tried to order it online but the cost for shipping was stupid.
I had seen a bunch of adds for esalon and watched a couple of videos so decided to give it a try
And these are the reasons why I liked it
1. They thought of everything you would need including stain remover.
2. It actually smelled pretty good. Most hair colour has a terrible chemical smell trying to be covered by perfume. This didn't .
3. The colour actually washed out of my hair and didn't continue to bleed on the everything.
Overall I am impressed I want to try other items maybe highlights next.

The color went on evenly throughout my hair. The only think I will say is I noticed the roots were a little darker than I would have liked, but I think that was a fact of me not distributing the color well.

Love the colour but I have very stubborn grey hair and the first colour I received ,the colour around my hair line faded very quickly. Before the second one was due I received an email asking if I had any problems with the colour and when I mentioned the problem with the grey hair around my hair line they said that they would adjust the colour mix . I put the new colour mix on two days ago so watch this space.

Though it covers gray well, the color still does not have enough red, even though my photo clearly is red and I have asked for more red. If I wanted a light brown with blonde highlights, it would be perfect. But I am looking for a light auburn. I even gave you the Nice 'n Easy color that I've used in the past and the new color wasn't any better. I do like the fact that it's gentle on my scalp and doesn't smell bad, but it's not auburn or red at all. Even worse, the last color I used covered all my highlights, so they're gone down the drain. I applied the color exactly as before and as instructed, but the color absorbed into my highlights while rinsing. I'll be glad when I don't have to worry about COVID. For now I'll go back to using what I know works. I can say that you get A for effort, but a C- for color match.

This product gave me great coverage on my extremely resistant grays....the best I have ever been able attain even by going to the salon. Unfortunately, the product has soy in it and I am extremely allergic to it, so I had to stop using it (gave me bad scalp rash). So Disappointed :-(. The customer service at eSalon was very helpful and top notch! I would highly recommend this product unless you have an allergy to soy.

I like the color a lot. It looks rich and turned out great. The packaging was lovely as well. A couple things that were disappointing. I would have loved to have hair clips in the package. As I do not own any and thought this would be a inclusive set. I also only had one pair of gloves which was a little tricky throughout the process.

I am more impressed than I thot possible. If my hair would stop growing I'd almost never need to color again for quite a while. Off the shelf color brands do not even have 10% of the lasting power and color that eSalon has. I've paid $100 from an excellent salon that matches this lasting color. I know I've not mentioned the quality and manageability of my hair after a color. Perfect and wonderful are the only appropriate descriptions.

loved how easy it was to color and it has lasted just as long as it does if not longer than when I go to the salon! The only part I did not like is the root color came out to be a totally different color then the rest of my hair assuming because of my gray hair.

I WAS A BIT SKEPTICAL, BUT ONCE I GOT IT AND APPLIED MY COLOR I LOVE IT THE ONLY THING IS SOME OF MY GRAY AROUND THE FRAME OF MY FACE DIDNT TAKE COLOR AND IT DID PULL A BIT RED BUT I JUST LOVE THE COLOR

everything was fantastic the only issue was with shipping which was no fault of yours - you shipped it on May 21 and it did not arrive until June 3rd -I called customer service on May 30th because I feared the color was lost and they were beyond helpful, understanding and pleasant - color and product great.

I used buy a hair color product at a store when I like to skip to go a hair salon. But I have never quite happy. However I like the color from e salon and the color stay longer than the products at the store I used buy.

Wish you had a better system for when you run out of color. Besides getting the same message three times telling me you don't know when it will be available, I am about to give up. I like your stuff but there should be a system to let people know when it is back. I am looking into other sources.

My first color with eSalon turned out way too dark, with very few red highlights. I was disappointed and almost didn't return; however, I received an email from the company offering to correct my color (at a discounted rate as well). I figured I had nothing to lose, so I conveyed my concerns with the initial color and expressed the result I had wanted and expected (reddish brown with cherry tones). My corrected color sat in its box in my bathroom for nearly three months, until I finally got tired of seeing my hair go gray during this COVID-19 isolation. I needed a lift, so I colored my hair yesterday. Wow! This is exactly the color I wanted! Such an amazing transformation! Made me feel so much better about my hair--and myself. Thank you, Stephanie at eSalon, for listening to my concerns and providing me with the color I truly wanted!

Die bestellte Farbe hat wunderbar gepasst. Auch das Set ist super schön. Allerdings hat mich die Abdeckung der weißen Haare nicht überzeugt. Auch den extrem scharfen Geruch finde ich nicht so gut.

Good value for what you get and super convenient to have it sent to your door, but, the ammonia smell it has will take your breath away!! And I had my exhaust fan on in the bathroom the whole time! Wish they had an option for ammonia free color.

Three months without color is not a good thing. At 77, I have a lot of gray and it was showing. My beauty salon was closed and, in desperation, I decided to color my hair myself. I am very happy with the color I chose. The salon is now open but I’m going to continue coloring myself because it looks so good.

Trying to cancel the autoship and not easy to do so beware if you sign up for autoship. You can put the deliver off for up to 12 weeks. I am also trying to find a way to contact customer service and I can't find that on the website either.

This is the best color I have used. I recently tried l'oreal due to time constraints and it turned out horrible. Smelled way worse and stained horribly. Will never switch back again.

I love e salon and have been using it for many years hence the 5 star rating. Unfortunately though they have changed their formula and I don’t like it at all! 😞 The consistency is very thick and makes it extremely difficult to apply. I was even concerned to the point that whilst applying it, I thought I’d received the wrong order. Please don’t fix something that isn’t broke!

The color in my kit is darker than what I'd been given at the salon. However, I really like it. I will see how it fades over then next few weeks. Also, I really like the shampoo and conditioner in the kit. One thing - my kit only included one pair of gloves but the list showed 2 pairs to be included. It would be nice to have 2 pairs of gloves.

I love the color but it's definitely didn't cover my gray. This is my first time putting any products in my NATURAL HAIR. I will give it a try again hopeful it's will work this time. I have been natural for 15 years so maybe that's why I didn't know.

This was my second order from eSalon and I am very happy with the results! However, in my most recent shipment, there was no "Classic Shampoo" nor "Classic Conditioner" included, so I had to use my own. Additionally, there were no gloves included with my most recent set.

My original color was way too brassy and orange. I specifically explained I wanted a medium auburn color and even included pictures. Unfortunately, the formula they first created had a 20% copper portion and this formula was so intense my head looked like a flashing orange traffic light. Once I received the correct color, i was much happier. I have been receiving so many compliments on my hair color and how could my hair look so good during the COVID-19 quarantine? Everyone assumed I had it done at a salon. I will now only purchase through Esalon. My hair is in much better condition after then when using box pharmacy hair colors. I wish they would bring back their clear glaze. That product was amazing but it’s not on their menu anymore.

The colorist developed formula was exactly the shade I wanted. Although the roots still showed some grey. I think a time adjustment would correct the problem.

The color was easy to use - no harsh chemical smells or feels to the process. The color was a little redder than expected than honey colored but I really don’t mind. My concern is that the gray was not completely covered and I felt there was no conditioning element in the process even though I received a shampoo & conditioner. My 2 biggest issues were the frizzy condition of my hair and the gray.

I have been buying boxed hair color for years, and have never been satisfied with the results. The color on the box bears no resemblance to the color of your hair once you've applied the product. It's too dark or too light, too blonde or too red, and never, never perfect. Until eSalon, and now my hair is perfectly covered and perfectly colored. And I am pleased.

Nice color! Easy to use. Color and all is good. Website, terrible! Not easy to use and can't see what color you are ordering when you check out. Can't tell if the new color you put in is what you are getting! When you pick your color it doesn't flow to the next thing.

Color is really good, after first try with not great root coverage eSalon peeps revised my forumula and color time and it worked. Feel like I may need some more conditioning though...have super healthy hair and it feels a little dry. Takes so little time...not that I need more time but definitely will still do after salons open!
