Did the opposite of what I wantedI request was for a light blonde that would cover greys and eliminate the red tones from my hair. This gave my hair an overall darker tone, and I’m now actually a red head...the greys are not covered at all, in fact, because my hair is now darker they stand out even more. Cancelling my account. BalayageI did my color that I love today followed by the balayage for the first time. I like the effect it’s subtle but gives light to the hair. But the elastics that are included in the kit are not practical at all especially if you have very long hair. It’s difficult to take them out when you are done with a section and have to put your hair down and when your hands are not quit clean and full product to lighten your hair. colour was completely offI ordered this and was excited to try it out. Answered all the questions, sent in a photo of my hair style/colour. It took a while to arrive and I finally tried it out. Immediately as it reacted on my hair I could tell it was way too dark. I washed it out after 15mins (reco time was 30) to avoid it getting too dark. The colour is so wrong. It's dark brown, almost black and I had requested a warm med brown. Also, the fumes almost made me pass out. I will never use this again or trust ordering it online. Great initial coverage but second time it didn’t cover the grays.I was really pleased with the initial coverage. I chose a mahogany and it really covered my gray roots and highlights evenly. I really really wanted to like thisI colored my hair. I was excited by the color boost we had added. I modified to focus on roots and pull through at the end. Color did not cover my grey! Well it did first week until washed twice. Grey's held burgundy color so was more like a highlight. But tonight 8 days post color, EVERY silver strand is visible. Did not match my color and left hair two tonesAfter following the directions this color left my roots very bronzed and warm toned and when I put the second bottle on it tinted my ends a lot warmer than they were. Told stylist that my hair runs warm and to give me a darker color but they said I needed this after submitting a picture. I explained this happened in the salon and they had to redo my hair but they still insisted so all in all not happy. It also didn’t cover my grays as well As it should have. Three colour hairI had grey roots when my hairdresser daughter applied my colour. It came out a lovely dark brown colour. One wash later my roots are a gingery colour with chunks of grey. No ColorI was very excited for this to come, and applied it as soon as the mailman left. Schöne Farbe, aber...leider wäscht diese sich zu schnell raus. Nach knapp 3 Wochen war von der Farbe nicht mehr viel übrig. No change in colorI am very upset that I put dye on my hair just for it to look exactly the same. Yes, my hair is dark, but I put that information in and also uploaded pictures of my current hair assuming the colorist knew what they were doing. So if my hair was too dark to be colored I would have hoped someone would explain that to me. Did not cover my gray hairI’m very disappointed with the outcome of my hair coloring. The grey roots were not completely covered and to top it off the color that did stay is a reddish brassy red. I absolutely hate the red and in my original comment as I was filling up my initial order was how much I hated getting a reddish hue. I also indicated that I have hard to color grey hairs. Very disappointed in products and customer serviceI have a lot of gray and from the get-go, I told esalon I needed permanent color to combat the grays. After a couple months, I was still noticing my grays coming through soon after application (even washing with cold water and doing ALL the things that you’re supposed to do to get long lasting color), so I reached out and come to find out esalon is sending me temporary color. In what world is temporary color used to cover gray? None. They switched it to permanent after I reached out twice unhappy and guess what, shocker, I still was unhappy with the coverage. Something has changed!I have loved eSalon hair coloring and have always had great results up until the last shipment. I have my hair dye on auto ship for every 10 weeks and I can normally go over those 10 weeks without noticing my gray showing before the next coloring. With the new formula, my gray is already showing and my next shipment has not even been shipped out yet. The product is not lasting as long on this new formula. I have added the hair tent to my order in case this happens with the next shipment. But, I will not continue to order the product if it is not going to cover my gray like it did before this last shipment. The benefit of coloring my hair myself is to save money. Didn't really cover the grayI had two concerns, one was gray coverage and another brassy or pulling red/orange like my hair does. The hair around my face which had the product on the longest didn't get the gray coverage I expected and where it did color looks mighty coppery for a "cool" color. Time will tell how many washing the color lasts through. My hair did not feel soft when I was done even after using the conditioner that came with it. On my order, I did specify that my hair pulled orange and didn't receive any feedback before my order shipped. However after rigorously following the step by step personalized instructions I was bitterly disappointed to discover that it made no difference to my dark blonde/golden hair. Don't waste your moneyI got my package. I followed your directions explicitly. I even had someone come and sit with me while I did this to make sure I did it right. DisappointedI was very excited to try your new hair color product. But I have to say honestly after a few times of using it I am disappointed. To start the gray coverage if no better and what I've been buying in the store. I use color treated shampoo and only wash my hair 1 to possibly two times a week and yet even with your coloring product the grace come through after the first 10 days. In addition I am not saving any money with using your hair coloring what I buy in the store cost close to the same amount. I have had this previous color for the last 15 years medium blond in the fall and winter any lighter blond in the summer. I never had to use highlights or lowlights to achieve this color and I'm not interested in starting now. Less Than ImpressedWas looking forward to trying eSalon after self coloring with drug store box products for many years. I ordered as usual medium brown and carefully applied color as instructed. Step 3 Blend for Shine in the shower technique painfully burned my eyes leading to blepharitis, loss of eye lashes and a trip to my doctor. I am very disappointed with the results of my eSalon experience. My roots are too light brassy orange and the rest of my hair is too dark brown. Hair framing my face is quickly showing greys after only two weeks since color application. I was very careful with following the timing recommendations for coloring roots and then ends. Never hit the markTried a few years ago and never got it right. Decided to give it another shot and still not there. I don’t like the way it makes my hair feel in comparison to other products and the color was never vibrant enough an always too dark. Not covering grayI went with this product because I thought it would be less damage to hair and better gray coverage. I just did my hair last night and still have gray showing through. Good product. But.....This is a good product and I like the way it didn’t dry out my hair like some of the other products I’ve used. DisappointedThis was my first use and I have about 35% gray, especially around hairline. This did not cover the gray well, I had to use another haircolor 2 weeks after coloring with e salon. Did nothingI wanted to go a shade darker than my current color. My hair was med gold brown with highlights. I confirmed with a stylist before I got my color. ColorI was eager to try this product. I have two issues with this product. First, I placed my order for buy one get one, but when I received my product, I only received one bottle. I then called the company and asked them where was my other bottle. The Rep stated that since I was only doing my roots. I will not get another bottle. I then asked why wasn't that spelled out while I was ordering? I got no answer. Second, I put the product in my hair and left it on for the allotted amount of time, it looked great, but two weeks later grey hair started popping everywhere. That was a waste of money. Hard to apply, wrong color rootsI had to have someone help me with coloring my hair, Im not sure how I would have been able to do it myself. Not What I Hoped ForI just did my roots, and while I do not think the problem is entirely eSalon's, I had problems with covering grays. The color is not quite what I wanted, and I am wondering if I misinterpreted "base" color in the initial questionnaire. I have very long hair and it was hard to do the roots. Good color but bad reactionI really enjoyed the color it gave me, i ended up using the dye three times, however on my third dye I had a horrible reaction to the product. I am only dyeing my dark hair darker and I had never dyed my hair previously but on my third dye my hair was falling out in clumps. no bald patches but insane fall out that it could clog a drain.
