I love these clips. They Never pull strands of my hair out like every other clip I have tried. I use one while in the shower to hold my hair up as it soaks in conditioner. My hair is thick and it holds up well with these. I also use them while styling my hair....
My other comment is concerning your new packaging.... Sorry to say I don't like it and it does not give your products a quality look. They look cheap and if I did not already know of your high quality, I would not buy them.... Go back to your prior packaging!

When I first became a member of esalon back in 2009, I purchased a kit with black clips like these and a bowl and brushes in a net bag. I noticed the clips started coming up missing. The next thing I knew, I had to order new ones, so I ordered two sets and have plenty. The clips hold your hair in place exactly how you want and stay put. I love them for coloring my hair.

My almost 6 year old ones (from my first kit with my first e-salon hair colour) were beginning to brake, one by one, so i bought a new set. The new ones are very tight in the "coil" and get more caught in my hair than the old black ones. I still use them and still find them best for the purpose. I also use one in the shower. When I have added conditioner i twist my hair and put it up with this for a couple of minutes while washing my body. That way the conditioner gets time time to work and is not accidentally rinsed partly out before I get to comb my hair through.

Update: I bought different clips and guess what, they didn't hold my hair and they broke after one or two uses. I won't make that mistake again.
11/30/18 These clips work very well for sectioning. I've been using little butterfly clips but these are much better, wish I'd ordered them sooner.

Plastic doesn't feel exceptionally good quality but it makes up for it with its functionality. Grips the hair firmly in place which is what it's made for. I don't even bother with my other hair clips anymore.

I purchased these Hair Clips (in BLACK) a little over a year ago because I’d purchased the same (black) clips when I first started using eSalon hair color, and I loved them. But I have found that they break fairly easily (hence, the reorder), especially if one slips outta your hand. One drop to the shower floor and KABLAM! Game over. So here I am, once again, buying MORE (I’m down to just one, again), because I truly do love their versatility: Washing, blowing, straightening, styling, you name it, they’re great. Even when it’s date night and I’m wearing my LBD, I can twist my hair up, secure it with my awesome clip, then pull hair down around it so that it doesn’t show; bada bing, bada boom.
However, as I placed my third order (or fourth, I really don’t remember cause I’m just THAT old), I’m a little freaked out by that BOLD BLUE color! I’m afraid that that’s NOT going to be so easy to hide in my auburn hair. And even on those days where I’m just tossing my hair up, out of the way, for a quick trip to Target, that OBNOXIOUS BLUE CLIP isn’t going to be a good look for me! Okay, so it’s not like it’s bedazzled or anything, it’s just NOT something I’d use as much for styling purposes.
Please, PLEASE, PLEEEEEASE bring back my basic, subtle, boring black hair clips!!!!! Or at least offer black as an option, maybe?? It’d make me so very happy.

I ordered this set to replace the broken one and to assist with holding my hair during coloring as more than four clips are needed for my hair. Sectioning my hair with the clips and then using the brush/bowl didn't work for me. My hair got tangled in the clips and the brush would just be messy. It's much easier for me to use the bottle to color my roots.

I was very excited to receive these for my colors, but then completely crumbled after one use. Once they broke they were tangled in my hair with all the color in it and snarled when I tried to take them out. Not worth it.

I think these clips are intended for long hair. I should have realized that, but didn't. Anyway, I don't recommend them for anyone with hair shorter than shoulder-length. They seem well-made and sturdy.

I purchased hair color a few years back from eSalon and it came with a set of hair clips. They were terrific. The do not catch in your hair as you put them in and they do not get caught and pull as you take them out. They just glide. This set both catches and pulls and pulls some of my hair out as I take them out. I have thrown them away. I was hoping for a set like the ones I had gotten before. I do not recommend these!

These were unusable. On the surface that slides into your hair there is a roughness in the plastic that yanks and pulls your hair when you remove them. I tried sanding it smooth, but it's a fail. I have black clips sold by esalon in the past that are perfect. These, I gave to my granddaughters to use in their dolls hair.

Was not expecting shiny clips; they slip out of my fingers when colouring hair. 😫
The original black clips were matte, thereby less slippery and did not slip out of my grip while working with sections and colouring products.

The functionality is fair. But as someone reviewed, if dropped on a tile floor, it break easily. Also very expensive. You can get a set of 4 at Target or elsewhere $3-5.

These clips are well made and very usable but my hair is too fine to section as the instruction indicate and have these clips hold on. Too bad too as I'm sure it would have helped me in the coloring process.

These were a lot larger than expected. Each one can hold massive amount of hair but doesn’t perform well if you have thin hair as it will easily slide out from under

Rip my hair out

I cannot use these type of hair clips bc they have “teeth” that rip out my hair. I’ve never seen them made like this. I love your service but these clips are very cheaply made. Do you make them w out the rigged edge? Aka a smooth “mouth” of the clip?

They would probably be great for people that have long thick hair but not for fine, thin hair like mine
