I thought this product would simply boost the red but it seems to be more like a temporary color of its own. I thought I had ruined my color but then it did wash out. It did not go with my hair color at all. Threw it out and did not use again.

First let me begin by saying I was expecting my whole hair to have violet undertones, but that never happen.
Instead, My whole hair has red undertones which is an ash color. I was looking forward to having purple in my hair. It did cover all my Gray hair's which is a plus, but again my hair turned ash color. I was reading reviews & complaints on google and came across a review on
writingbetweenpauses.com blog site and a customer stated: "Intense Pearl was supposed to have mostly violet undertones. However, once I used it, it pretty much just looks like dark brown with red undertones which mind you my hair was dark brown to begin with." and she also stated: "Why portray it as a cool toned, violet option if they literally can't do it, as she admitted they couldn't? That's when she told me that they actually cannot increase the violet undertone because they cannot add blue dye to their formulations because they don't have it. What is the point of advertising a violet undertone (a mix of red and blue, in case I hadn't been told that 400 times) if you don't use blue dye!? That's when I got frustrated."
I agree that you shouldn't advertise a color you don't have just to gain customer's. Honesty is the best policy, especially since you don't have blue dye. I will continue to purchase from eSalon because the color they sent me did turn out to be a pretty reddish brown ash color. Once they get blue dye and notify me that they now have blue dye to mix, and send me a free complementary of Intense Pearl Violet Purple, but I DON'T want my hair to be black, that is when I will give them 5 stars.

Not sure this did quite as much for me as I hoped, although it has left my hair very slightly cooler in shade I had seen other reviews suggesting it might also blend the odd grey a little ... that hasn’t been the case for me, but the product didn’t promise that so I’m not disappointed ... still a great product.

I have used this product three times in a row now and I'm very disappointed. There is only the smallest change in the red tones. I left the product in around 10 minutes each time which is longer than recommended to try and really get the pigment in. Perhaps I should have gone for red neutraliser but I would definitely say my hair is medium brown as I lightened it. I don't think I would buy again.

I'm not exactly happy with this product. It makes my hair color change just a bit. I've used it 3 times and afterwards my hair feels strange, maybe a little stiff or coated. I'm not sure I will order this again.

I followed the instructions on the bottle and attempted a few different applications; however, I noticed absolutely no discernible effect from this product. I e-mailed their support address; and their eventual response was just to tell me to call their support line... Extremely disappointed with this product and the customer service.

I dyed my hair light brown 3 weeks ago. I noticed it started looking coppery so I decided to give this rinse a try. It is watery as in a liquid consistency which gets all over your shower. I followed the directions exactly and after towel drying my hair I noticed that the copper was exactly as is and streaks of my hair are blue/green. My hair was dyed one solid color now I have random pieces that are an unattractive blue/green. I washed my hair twice now and the blue/green remains as is. I am incredibly annoyed that I now have a bigger hair problem to deal with besides the coppery color I started with. I’d much rather have copper hair than stripes of blue and green!

I bought this with anticipation it would dull the brassy red color, I didn’t have expectations that it would completely diminish the red. But it didn’t do anything not even to my highlights. I was even accepting if it darkened my hair and changed the color. Highly disappointed 😔

It may be the texture of my hair but this almost makes it feel as if I haven’t rinsed my hair even though I have rinsed out completely. Other than that the product does neutralize red and brassy tones.
It is runny so I took off a star for that. A thicker consistency would be nice.

I tried this product once, and thankfully did not keep it in my hair for the full suggested 3 -5 minutes. My hair turned a very distinct orange color. Somehow, I got two orders of this product and wish to return the second one. I cannot find the information I need to return the unused product, because there is no way in hell I will use the rest of the one tube I opened, let alone open the second one. Unless you want orange hair - - don't use it.

I did not like the golden rinse at all. It did not mask any of the gray (I don't have too much just a little around my temples). The consistency was kind of like regular shampoo and it did provide a bit of shine afterwards. Not worth the cost for what I wanted it to do. I have used the red tint previously and it does a great job. Maybe I just need a different color?

Habe die Tint Rinse, wie empfohlen angewendet. Meine Strähnchen, wurden durch den etwas dunkler gewählten Farbton überdeckt. Ich habe erwartet, dass durch die Pflege, die Strähnchen wieder leicht hervortreten. Möglicherweise hatte ich eine falsche Vorstellung von dem Produkt.

Zero Rating Extremely Disappointing!

If I knew how to give the Tint Rinse Product a Zero Rating, I definitely would. I tried the Tint Rinse for the first time today. This was the 2nd time I shampooed my hair, 12 days after coloring my roots. I shampooed with sulfate free shampoo first. Then when my hair was again fully saturated, I massaged in the Tint Rinse from my roots to my ends using flat hands until the Tint Rinse was foamy. Then I set my Cool Tools timer for 3 minutes (as the Tint Rinse bottle states leave in for 2-3 minutes.) Then after 3 minutes, I began to rinse it out. I rinsed thoroughly and next applied my conditioner.
I noticed absolutely nothing. No difference in my hair color, texture, feel, look or shine. No difference in anything! Extremely disappointed and more money wasted!!!

While I have felt that most of eSalon's products are salon-grade quality, this one missed the mark for me. The toning mask they sell is slightly more potent and will deliver a better toning result. This rinse falls short and didn’t supply the neutralizing or conditioning qualities I was looking for.

That's my review. My scalp broke out and I couldn't use it more than once. I've used other red/copper color extenders/enhancers and haven't had anything like this happen, and I know everyone is different so you may not have the same experience. But as someone with not sensitive skin who colors their hair red/copper every 4-6 weeks when not in quarantine, it caused a reaction. I'll be looking for headbands until the lockdown is over.

I read your instructions several times, insuring to follow all directions. I used to do my hair years ago but not in the last 15 years.

Seen this product through a Facebook ad where it completely eliminated a mannequins brassy hair and turned the hair medium brown. Bought it hoping it would eliminate brassy tones on my hair but after 3 uses it didn’t do anything. Only plus is they refunded my money.

I tried this on my hair according to the instructions and I do not see much of a difference. It looks the same. I thought it less brassy but still looking the same.

I’m honestly not sure about it. I guess I’m looking for something to add a richer red to keep it fresh. I don’t notice much difference when I use it.

I find this product ineffective in enhancing color in between the hair dying. It seemed to dull out my color rather than add enhanced tint

I enjoyed using this product to maintain my color vibrant but then I started noticing how dry my hair was not just right after using the product, but through continued use. I still have two bottles that I won't be using. Hope they reformulate.

I’ve used this twice and I cannot see any difference. After shampoo, this is run through. It lathers up, which I was not fond of as I use non sulfate, none lathering shampoos to save my color. It is very drying, even with the use of conditioner. The second time I used a hair mask for additional conditioning but still drying. I believe I wasted my money 😖

This product did nothing to neutralize the mild brass/red tones I have in my light to medium brown hair. After using the product my hair was shiny, but still had the brassy tones. Overall I'm disappointed. Would not purchase this product again.
