I was terrified at first, but the instructions were so clear and the process was very easy! Before the toner mask was used, I was very nervous, but the end result was at home subtle highlights that I love!!! Perfect color combo!

I love the highlights....this adds so much dimension to my hair. This was my first time using this and I watched the Esalon video several times before I jumped in. The video is extremely helpful, and the next time I use this I think I will actually use my fingers to get smaller strands of hair. That's what I love about salon...I get to experiment...there are online videos which help...and I'm not paying huge salon prices to achieve the color/look I want.

was a little hesitant at first to use this but went ahead and found it amazing...Wow !!! Ive always been nervous about doing my own highlights but the kit came with easy to follow instructions and everything i needed to highlight my hair. I initially ordered the wrong colour and was contacted by a consultant who advised me which colour would be best and it turned out great :) it's early days but I've ordered another kit because I wanted to build my colour gradually but I'm really happy with how the colour has come out so far! The blonde shade looks natural with my own natural colour.
If you're thinking about doing your highlights yourself, I'd really recommend taking the plunge and using this kit!

I got the wrong colour (my fault) and I contacted esalon and they sorted me out with a colour to correct it and it turned out perfect I will definitely be using again.

I regularly go to the salon to get highlights or balayage. With COVID, that's not possible now, howver, I still need to maintain my hair color. I was scared a bit since I already have highlights (they say in instructions not to use if your hair is chemically treated), BUT my hair is in great shape-not damaged, so I gave it a go! The instructions and video are easy to follow and easy to do yourself, for reference my hair is very long. The result WAS AWESOME!!! Definitely visible, a shade lighter than my previous ones, which was my goal and looks professionally done for a fraction of the cost! Will be ordering again FOR SURE! Also, the toner leaves hair very silky and soft! GREAT PRODUCT!

The light set added perfect buttery apricot highlights to my copper hair. It’s very subtle, you really can’t make a mistake with this product. At first I wasn’t sure anything had happened, but once I blow-dried the highlights just popped! I will definitely be doing my own balayage from now on.

I was nervous using hair lightener for the first time ever on my hair but I so wanted to add lighter color strands to my dark intense color. I love it. And the toning rinse really softened the hair after the lightner made it seem really rough. Don't skip the toner. This came with easy to follow instructions and I just went for it and glad I did.

Absolutely stunned it worked! I followed the esalon video and it looks amazing! I’m totally gobsmacked I managed to do it right! I have lovely lighter highlights throughout my copper coloured hair and I am so pleased as this has made my hair look so natural. Definitely recommend watching the video a few times and following that as you can see step by step how it is done. This is my first time ever highlighting myself and looks amazing.

The product is excellent and was well explained as to how apply it. I have no complaints at all but left them because I have decided not to highlight my hair any more. As for the customer service, it is faultless. They are obviously a very decent, honest run company and I would recommend them to anyone thinking of doing home hair highlights or dye.

I actually used this on my daughter's hair and it was so easy to use. Even though I was pretty worried about lightering her hair myself, it couldn't have been easier. We watched the video which helped a lot. It's so natural looking and it gave her a lift in the middle of everything that's going on right now. Great product

I wish there was enough to cover my whole head! The highlights are just about the exact color I wanted. In a few days I'll add the custom color set color and I will be right where I want to be. I'll have to keep ordering this set until I get the old dark brown color lightened. Hopefully in a few months I'll get the color I've been trying to achieve. (My natural hair color lol)

Very nicely packed, 2 gloves, easy to use, great result. I gave 4 points just because of the instructions, I would say it needs to be clearer in what is the outcome if you leave it for 30 min to act, I kept it only 7 minutes, checking how fast my hair gets lightened, and washed out way before 30 min instructions says. When it comes to tonic mask, again instructions should say to follow how is it actually toning your hair, I washed mine after aprox 10 min.... And I got amazing result.

Applied medium to dark blonde highlight set to previously highlighted hair and it turned out really well even though I left on longer than given time. Will definitely order again as with salons closed it has been a huge relief to have hair looking fresh once again.

This lasted so long that the 2 followup boxes were not needed and my daughters used them. The blonde highlights were so natural and kept shining through and there was no dryness at all to my hair. I received a lot of compliments on how youthful my hair looked. Very easy to apply direct from bottle. I used just 1/4.

I decided to give the highlights a try because I love my color from esalon but wanted more dimension and didn't want my hair to look like a wig. I was nervous but really made sure I watched the video AND followed the instruction print out. The instruction print out gives a tip about side parts that the video does not. I also followed the reviewer's advice that less is more. It does take time but it was not difficult, honestly it was kind of fun! The end result was amazing! Seriously, better than I could have hoped for. The color is subtle and blends so well with my color, perfect for the dimension I was wanting. The balayage technique makes the highlights so soft and they will grow out beautifully. I was skeptical when I saw reviews say theirs were better than the salon but I can attest to that now. Some of the best highlights I've had!

I had a bad brand name box color and sections of my hair remained too dark and just wouldn’t go away. Plus, I always found highlights made my thin hair look thicker. Now I can do it myself safely at home! The highlights gave me subtle and natural dimension and makes my ESalon results even better.

This is only second time I did the light set and the results are so amazing! I cannot believe that I'm able to do this at home by myself. It's so easy to do but, like the first time, I watched and re-watched all the videos online a couple of times before starting. I can't stop looking at how even the back of my head got perfect. Just what I needed have been feeling so blah with these gray, dreary, cold winter days. Thanks again for making such a great product.

The color was perfect. I have short, chin length hair. I also have fine and thinning hair. I did not use 1/2 of the product to cover every inch of my hair that I wanted highlighted! I wish I could order a smaller version.

I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the highlights turn out. It left my hair shiny and soft. Excellent product and fairly easy to use. I have short layered hair so keeping them separate was a bit of a challenge. I would think long hair would be quite easy to do.

The finishing touch after I do my basic color is always the light set. This process adds the depth and character to my hair and the toning mask settles the color - both the base and the highlights for a gorgeous mop. Also when I blow dry, the feel of my hair is luscious and soft. I ALWAYS get asked if I'm just back from the salon when I do my e-salon treatments. But with COVID lockdowns I haven't been to a professional hair dresser for an entire year!

I loved this! I ordered one a few months ago and was too scared to try it, but now that we are safely in 2021 it felt like it was time. It was easy to apply- I followed the directions and also watched how-to videos on the site. I left it in for less time then was recommended due to chunky highlight fear- but it looks great! Very natural. I think next time I may leave it in for the full amount of time but we will see how the news cycle goes before I make any big decisions. You should try this!

OMG!! being a dark brunette I struggle with orange/brassiness and I wondered about how I was going to do this without a professional. Well... the color is amazing turned into a carmel not orange and the process was super easy. I watched the video and followed the directions. Saved time and money. Thank you esalon!!!

I love this product and have used it at least 5 times now. I apply differently every time depending on how I’m feeling. I love this product because it’s strong enough to deliver great results while not allowing you to go overboard and wreck your hair.

I have dark brown hair and had my hair highlighted caramel blonde. Needed topping up but can't got salon :( my friend recommend me, was nervous to do it at home then omg. Came out better than the salon and so easy, thought it would get everywhere, it was perfect! I'm obsessed with the purple toner, it's beautiful.
