For $8.00 and the amount of conditioner you receive this product is not worth it. You have to use a lot if you want to condition your hair, and it made no difference in the volume. I prefer Pantene or Suave for color treated hair, they actually condition your hair and they are a better value.

Maybe it is just me, but it made my hair full of static. However, it smells good and it may just be my type of hair, I have red thick curly hair. On the great side, when I told eSalon my issues, they immediately refunded my money! So the customer service is fantastic! I used it with the Volumizing Conditioner so maybe it was it and not the shampoo. I have not used it but once so I am not sure which or if it was both. :(

bought this last year as BIG LOVE on the recommendation of a friend. I have a lot of fine hair, long and color treated. this shampoo was a dream. The fragrance was one of the reasons i loved it, very herbal and not perfumed. Well, now as volume shampoo is has virtually no fragrance and the volume I loved last year is just a memory. Totally bummed and won't buy again. The conditioner has very little fragrance as well and seems heavier. As they were not cheap i will use them both and mourn the passing of a wonderful shampoo and conditioner.

I haven't been able to use the shampoo as the top is bent where cap meets bottle and leaked all over. Nothing else looked damaged so I'm not sure what happened. I wouldn't have listed this as af review but I did not know how to contact customer service about this.

Even though I love the smell it was to much for me since I am scent sensitive. Also, instead of volume, my hair went straight and flat. But to be fair.... all conditioners do that to my hair but I keep trying new ones in hope of a different result.

Conditioner went on nicely and detangled hair, but hair was totally dry and “fly-away” for rest of day. Had to apply an oily conditioner to calm it down so it wasn’t so full of static. My hair is typically rather oily and this absolutely dried it out.

Just bought this for the first time-found the feel/texture of the shampoo a bit weird, Not much in suds (know that is not necessary to clean but like the feel of the standard shampoo much better) and it didn’t give any additional volume vs. my normal shampoo. Disappointed, wish I had gotten the standard shampoo that comes with the hair dye package.

I got the travel size of this and it was great...left my hair clean, lifted, and bouncy. But this full size version did not do that for my hair at all. In fact, I noticed it made my hair more oily and as a result, flat. Very dissapointed!

For me, the results of this shampoo were awful. My baby fine hair went flat and frizzy. It, along with the volumizing conditioner, took out every bit of my natural curl.

I have very fine thin hair and this product leaves my hair feeling very heavy with an almost oily feeling. I am not a fan of the volumizing products because they have left me hair very flat.

I get the low sulfate thing for color protection, but I have shorter hair and I’m doing 5-6 pumps to get almost no lather. My scalp doesn’t feel clean after I shampoo. Does smell nice, but scent doesn’t last either. Meh.

I love the smell and initial feel of my hair after using this, but after about 30 min after it’s dry- STATIC. I have tried every combination of conditioner or serum or mousse with this and nothing solves the problem. Heartbreaking.

This was just ok for me. I think I need something that focuses on hydration for colored hair, because this leaves my hair feeling rough and dry and even with a conditioner, my hair had static electricity when I would try to style it. Not a good match for my hair.

I couldn't even try the product because the bottle wouldn't work. The pump wouldn't unlock no matter which way I screwed it. After 10 minutes of fiddling with it in the shower, it finally fell out of my hands and split open. I was too defeated by the packaging to even get to try the product.

I wanted to love this as much as the color care set. I have thin hair and needed a boost. If you don't want to run your fingers through your hair and for it to feel soft then maybe you will like it? I tried being heavy on matching conditioner and the only way I got through the bottle was to use the leave in conditioner.

I can't make the pump work. No matter how many times I turn it in any direction, pressure or no pressure, the pump won't budge. I end up taking the top off and just pouring it out. I would be fine with that if the product worked, but my hair doesn't seem to benefit either. It's not even voluminous, just dry. Wish I had canceled it before this last box arrived.

While I did want volume, I did not want my hair to feel like straw. It was very hard on my hair. The conditioner helped some but not enough. My hair felt very damaged after using this shampoo. I do not recommend this product.

After using this my scalp is dry and itchy with tons of flakes, I have never had dandruff in my life. It's miserable. It also washed the professional color right out of my hair. My hair is frizzy and feels more damaged.

It is ok,, nothing special. Love unconditionally is a far better product. Bought both for choice and will stick to the other one. There is no extra volume after using this one either.

Didn’t write a review as wasn’t sure at first. Ive used it 2 or 3 times now and not impressed. I’ll stick to the heart lock it shampoo. I seem to have to use lots of this to get a lather

Sulfate is an ingredient that gives shampoo it's suds, but it can be drying and strip your hair of color. I have absolutely loved most of eSalon's products, so I was excited to try out this volumizing conditioner when I bought it last summer. I have naturally wavy/curly hair that tends to get flat as the day goes on. While this conditioner smells great, I have found that after using it, my hair is pretty dry and brittle -- it almost feels like I did not use any conditioner at all. For a while I tried using it only once a week, but even that seemed to be drying my hair out and I found I was compensating by using a lot of leave-in conditioner. This might be good for people that don't have a problem with dry hair or split-ends, but it wasn't for me.

I did not like the volumizing products. My hair did not feel clean after shampooing and the conditioner left my hair full of static and very fly away. Would not recommend.

Have to use quite a bit of it to get knots out of your hair and doesn't smell as nice as the coresponding shampoo

I am not so sure about this shampoo. It doesn't really lather and not at all unless I use a ton of it. I am using it and my hair though clean, is not any more voluminous

Not color protecting

This product left me with a dark ring of color in the tub after washing. Did not in any way protect the color or assist in volumizing. Now I have a full bottle of something that will not be used again. Neither the shampoo bottle OR the conditioner bottle that I received say ANYTHING AT ALL ABOUT COLOR CARE, although, that is how it is sold. The color it washed away was eSalon color that I was very happy with but if the eSalon shampoo and conditioner do not protect the same brand hair color then the assumption would be they certainly would not protect any other brand of hair color. Will not be ordering this again and do not recommend.

This shampoo claims to increase volume and make your hair look fuller while protecting the color. It may protect the color, not as much color in the tub after only using the shampoo, although there was some but the volumizing was not there for me. Neither the shampoo bottle OR the conditioner bottle that I received say ANYTHING AT ALL ABOUT COLOR CARE, although, that is how it is sold. Will not be ordering this again, completely dissatisfied with this product.
