NOT JUST ANOTHER "BOX DYE"I spent years dying my own hair with box kits at home, then years getting it done professionally at a salon, and back again. When it's a more complicated process (e.g. ombre), I don't mind paying for someone else to do it right, but when I want my hair a single, solid color (black in recent months), it just feels like a waste of money to go to a salon for it. That being said, it's always been almost impossible to find a shade of black in store box brands that looks natural (not jet black w/blue undertones), but also doesn't just look like dark brown or a soft black that quickly fades to brown. I decided to try eSalon to see if they could finally nail finding the right shade for me, and I was very pleasantly surprised. It turned out perfect, and stayed a natural looking black past that point where it was time to re-dye. Finally got right colorHad to tweak color one time. But now it's ok. Still harder to get color to take on temples. Try to do those first so is on longer. Only have one thing that is a problem. My hair is dry after coloring, shampooing and conditioning wth eSalon's products.
