Beautiful color, easy process, chemical smellThis was my first at-home coloring attempt and it went really well thanks to the great esalon service - a great color recommendation and very easy to follow instructions. I was nervous but it wasn’t hard and turned out really well. My only issue is the very strong chemical smell while using the product. I didn’t have any adverse skin reaction whatsoever, but I’m not sure I can tolerate the smell again, even though it is temporary. I’ve smelled a chemical smell at times at the salon, but being enclosed in a shower with it makes a difference - it seems much stronger and harder to get away from. After a couple days the color was betterThe product was fine I just didn't like the color as much as I could have. It needed a little more red and a little less brown. Although I want my tint to be dark so the contrast is greater between my pale skin and hair. Not sure what I wanted for Colour - eSalon Figured it out!I don't colour my hair often, I think the last time was highlights 4-5 years ago. My hair has darkened over time, and just got this dull, bland drabby brown, where I used to have light blond with red undertones (back in my 20's) I just wanted to give my hair colour depth and warmth. I couldn't decide if I wanted to go blonder, redder, or just lighter. Walking through the colour interview process, it landed me on a colour that did all three. - golden mahogany. I didn't want it to be super bold, I wanted the change to be noticeable, but subtler. I could not be more pleased with the outcome! It's shiny, give my hair the depth that I was looking for, and it subtly brought back those honey gold and reddish tones I used to have! I've some grays that seem resistant to color!So, there are quite a few grays that are resistant to color. Also, the color could be a touch darker. MehhIt was a great presentation with really cute packaging. Easy to follow instructions and for the most part painless. Unfortunately 3 weeks later it’s really brassy and so much lighter around my hairline. It looked great the first week but it started losing its luster quickly after. It may be my fault and I might’ve ordered the wrong color for my hair. I’m not a professional and I’ll admit I was a bit overwhelmed at choosing the color I needed. UpsetI accidentally ordered just a root touch up. I called 2 days later and spoke to two different people. They said they would send me another bottle with my order since it hasn’t shipped out.
