It has been many years since I colored my hair at home. I usually went to the hair salon between 3-4 weeks. The coronavirus has made that impossible due to lock-downs. I was in touch with the Esalon colorist and ordered the appropriate color. I was hesitant at first but it came out beautifully. I enjoy the convenience of having people that I can get in touch with if I have a question. That is impossible if you purchase a kit from the drug store.

I am happy with the way this color turned out. My colorist, Illiana, was very helpful in honing down my automated selection to something that suited my needs better. However, my two year old son saw it and said "is that purple, mama?" so not sure I got exactly the effect I was looking for :P

My 1st order was a bit darker than i wanted cause i just said i wanted medium golden brown. No ones fault but mine. and order made more to what i wanted because i told them what changes i wanted. I am looking forward to order number 3!
