Demi-Permanent ReviewI'm not ready to transition to permanent color yet, so I use demi-permanent to blend my greys. I liked the coverage and color of this product. However, on my next order, I adjusted my color to be lighter and the resulting order was actually darker than my first. I had to contact customer service and have them resend a corrected order. That was a pain. Also, on reorder, you have to pay extra for a second bottle of product for your ends. For permanent color, it makes sense to just send one bottle for roots, but with demi-permanent, it all washes out, requiring you to redye your whole head. The price ends up being over $40 per application of demi-permanent every 6 weeks (or however often you color). Very UpsetI requested a change from permanent to demi permanent with no change to my color. My box arrived and said the same color name so I didn’t think anything about it. After using I was in shock with what results I got. I went back and looked closer at my formula and it was completely changed. It’s tough to be an old redheadI’m 68 years old and as a young woman hated my hair color. Growing up red hair was ridiculed relentlessly, however I’m pleased to see that is no longer an issue for all redheads of the world. Yeah! Now to keep a natural, but lighter shade of red hair was challenging in salons. Finding the right color was dependent upon skills of the colorist and a hefty price. Once had a good colorist, but we moved 5000 miles away and couldn’t find another colorist that could be consistent. I happened upon an article/ad on eSalon and decided to risk it because the price seemed affordable. This was in 2013 and I’m still buying and coloring my own hair with a beautiful red hair color. Everyone thinks my hair color is natural and it goes well with my age—not the deep copper when younger, but a light copper that compliments my skin/age. I absolutely love my hair color and how my hair looks (undamaged) after ten years of using eSalon!
