This conditioner is a nice surprise. I normally need a lot of conditioner because my hair is so fine. I can use half of what I normally use and it combs out great. However, in the winter my hair has a lot of static by the end of the day.

When I color my hair with e salon products, after I wash, my hair is soft and silky, so I ordered the same shampoo and conditioner that comes with the color set. It did not lather and didn’t provide the same texture. I was disappointed and went back to my previous shampoo and conditioner.

I loved the little packets of this that came with my color, so I was excited to get the larger bottles, but it let me down. I have to double shampoo to get my hair feeling clean and then it leaves it dry feeling like straw. The conditioner is nice and rich, helps combat the excessive dryness the shampoo causes.

I was excited to get full size bottles of the amazing shampoo and conditioner that comes with the hair color. This is definitely not the same. The shampoo is thin and runny like water, and made my hair dry out. The conditioner is thick and pasty. Disappointed because I was hoping it would be the same but it’s definitely not - unless my batch was old. Had to throw it away.

I love the way my hair feels and shines after dying my hair using the included classic shampoo and conditioner packets. I felt like my normal shampoo/conditioner were making my color fade too fast. So i decided to just order the classic set to use all of the time. And it was on sale, BONUS! I even put it on a monthly plan. But I just washed my hair with these... the shampoo was SUPER thin (I even shook it up to make sure it hadn't just settled and separated), smelled gross and made my hair feel like straw.... all with very little lather. I rinsed it and poured a little bit of conditioner into my hand and noticed that this also smelled terrible! I have thick curly hair and can actually use those little packets from the color kit twice since the conditioner works so well after the shampoo. I needed to use a handful of this smelly conditioner just to finger through my hair! This is 100% NOT what is included with the coloring kit.
I'm not sure if this set just sat in a hot warehouse too long or it's just a bad batch, but I will definitely be canceling my subscription for these products as well as asking for a refund.

The shampoo was awful! I know some shampoos do lather up and I am okay with that. This shampoo seemed to cause tangles in my hair and was difficult to distribute. The conditioner was lackluster as well. Barely felt like it conditioned and certainly did not counter the tangles the shampoo caused.

I bought the classic shampoo and conditioner because I love the sample packs that come with the dye each month. However, the bottles do not make my hair nearly as soft or have the same pleasant smell that the samples have. Had I known it was not going to be the same I would have ordered a moisture/hydration shampoo and conditioner which is what I tend to need because my hair is curly and a little more course/dry. I am on a fixed income so unfortunately I could not just buy something else, I am just glad that the shampoo and conditioner are almost gone so I can order something a little more suitable for my hair type.

It makes my hair soft and it smells good however it doesn’t lather well and I have to use more to get my hair clean. I’m going back to using Pantene’s sulfate free color care shampoo which does lather well and is more cost effective.

Everything about esalon as been amazing except the shampoo and condition. Compared to other products the packaging is hard plastic, doesn’t come out of the bottle well. The standard shampoo and conditioner isn’t that great but it’s ok. My biggest and only real complaint is the containers.

I sent a previous email I have not heard back from. In my kit of color is a shampoo/conditioner to use after you’re done coloring, it’s labeled classic shampoo and classic cond. I love it, and ordered 2 bottles of each. When my order arrived I tried it & it is not the same shampoo, I was so incredibly disappointed. The shampoo in my kit is clear and this one is white and the scent is different. What can you do to get me what I really wanted?

The conditioner has no smell maybe it’s old and my shampoo smells like the scratch and sniff stickers from 20 years ago strawberry patch kids. Unfortunately I forgot to remove off the automatic so I have too many and will use to not waste. I like a nice smelling shampoo and conditioner and this unfortunately is not.

As this was the only choice available to me for shampoo/conditioner so that's what I got. I noticed that it's the same that is for after color treatment. It has next to no scent and the shampoo made my hard feel hard and dry. As expected with first wash alot of color came out. Conditioner wasn't anything to write home about as it was a major fail as well. Next to no scent as I like heavy scents for my hair. My hair ended up dry frizzy and looking like wire. Even if I used a bit as a leave in it did not help. So just to be fair I tried another day with no better results. I feel this just removed my color although it says color safe. My hair feels like I've been using a bar soap on it. Over all my hair did not smell clean looked dull and unmanageable. Embarrassing. I won't be using it anymore. Straight to the garbage. What a waste of money. I recommend staying far away from this one.

I purchased this based on a recommendation from a YouTube channel I like. It was expensive and nothing special. I don’t notice anything different with my hair. The shampoo smells nice. The conditioner smells bad. Would not buy again.

This shampoo is so watery compared to the shampoo by the same name that they send with the color. It's absolutely junk. I actually still have some from the first order. AND when you cancel the order, they miraculously have it turned back on and expect you to pay for it! So, eSalon, that is what is called a bad business decision. When you sell junk, you sometimes have to eat it.

So idk if it’s claiming to be the kind you get with the samples in your color box but it smells so good and it even looks like it but it is Definitely Not It. It doesn’t lather at all as a shampoo idc how much you use or don’t use. So I wanted to love it but it is the most disappointing compared to the travel packs that come in your hair color box. So I ordered the travel packs which are great but if you wanted enough to supply a shampoo bottle it would cost about 50 bucks. The conditioner is good but otherwise it’s a waste and I cannot understand how you make one product so well and then totally ditch the “shampoo” brand of the same item??

Genau wie die anderen eSalon Shampoos schäumt das Classic Color Care Shampoo wenig, weshalb ich für meine relativ langen Haare immer eine stattliche Menge brauche und das finde ich bei dem Preis nicht toll. Riechen tut es okay.
Sonst tun Shampoo und Conditioner was sie sollen, meine Haare glänzen schön und sind gut kämmbar.

Both of these are heavy enough to drag my hair down and I have to wash it twice as much due to thickness of the shampoo and the heaviness of the conditioner. I have stopped using both of these.

I love this shampoo and conditioner. It’s my absolute, all-time favorite. But I won’t be buying it again until the company corrects the packaging. These bottles are ridiculously difficult to squeeze. I was told by a Cust. Serv. rep that I should go buy other bottles and empty the product into the purchased bottles. Really? After paying $30 for shampoo/conditioner, in order to use it I need to go pay for bottles that are usable? Nope. Hopefully, they will let me know once they get better packaging. I have very bad arthritis in my hands. I’m sure I’m not the only dissatisfied customer.

These are ok. The shampoo seems gentle. The conditioner is a good detangler for 3B type curls but not great. My color washed out after 5 washes & conditions. Maybe there is a brand that does not wash out color??

I didn’t like the shampoo at all. Used it 4x and went back to my old brand. It was as if the shampoo stripped my hair of any natural oil.

It’s very similar to Dove for colored hair. The difference is after hair is dry, it has a bad smell. I won’t be using it and I wouldn’t buy again.

I was really looking forward to trying this, I've tried it twice just to make sure but it feels like it leaves my hair with a film on it. Looks greasy really quickly and limp. Very disappointed.

Angelica - We value your feedback, and truly appreciate you reaching out. The reason you are seeing a lack of lather with the shampoo, is that our Color Care Shampoos are sulfate-free. Sulfate is an ingredient that gives shampoo it's suds, but it can be drying and strip your hair of color.
